The Strength of a Woman Episode Five

Juliana knows she does not stand a chance to defeat Angel. On her own, there is very little she can do to stop Angel from taking over Chief Willie's wealth. The only person that can stop Angel is Chief Willie himself. The problem is that Chief Willie cannot talk. The accident he had rendered him incapacitated. And Juliana knew he was her only chance of winning the battle she was fighting with Angel. Angel was more experienced and had more inside knowledge about Chief Willie, including how he made his money and all the assets he has. Angel was new in the house and was still learning under her husband. But she knows exactly what she was going to do.

"I can't win this battle if my husband dies. I have to apply wisdom. Angel wants to kill him.

If I leave him here in the hospital, he will likely die. They tried killing him the first time but they did not succeed. I know they will try again. They will not give up until they hear that Chief Willie is dead. But I will trick them. I will give them what they want. I will trick them into thinking that Chief Willie is dead. If I make them believe he is dead, they will stop coming after him. If they stop coming after him, he will recover in peace and then help me win this battle. It's risky, but there's nothing else I can do." Juliana said to herself.

"The private investigator told me Angel was married to my husband, that means she must know many things that I don't know. That's what gave her so much confidence to come after me. If Chief Willie dies, that means she will take over my husband's property with another man's children. Those children don't belong to my husband but she wants to make sure they inherit his wealth. I will fight against this with all my powers." Juliana said. She stood up from where she was sitting beside her husband at the hospital. She walked to the doctor's office to inform him of what she wants and the latest plan she has hatched.

"I want my husband to die. I want you to kill him." Juliana said to the doctor as soon as she entered the office and she was offered a seat. She sat down confidently, but the doctor was worried when he heard what Juliana said.

"What do you mean? I can't kill your husband. My job is to save lives. I can't take someone's life. What you are asking me to do is against medical ethics. Please, Juliana, be patient. I'm assuring you that your husband will recover." The doctor said.

"I'm not saying you should actually kill him. What I mean is that you should tell people that he is dead. I want you to invite my husband's first wife and her children. You will announce to them that Chief Willie is dead. Tell them his body has been taken to the mortuary. Forge a mortuary ticket and give it to them. I want to take my husband to a traditional bone setter. You told me that his spinal cord is broken. You said that is why he is paralyzed. I don't have enough money to fly him abroad. I don't have access to his bank accounts yet. I don't want him to die here. If he stays here, he will die. I know a bone setter who can fix any broken bone. He is from my village. I want to take my husband there. The only thing you have to do for me is announce that he is dead so that his first wife will not come looking for us." Juliana said. It was only then that the doctor understood what she wanted.

"I understand now. I will help you. I will arrange for an ambulance to take your husband to the traditional bone setter." The doctor said. He called the hospital's ambulance driver and got nurses to carry Chief Willie into the ambulance. Soon, the ambulance drove off from the hospital and headed towards Juliana's village. She paid the private security and investigator she hired and asked them to go.

"I don't need security in my own village. That place is safe. I don't have much money. I want to save the money I have so that I will use it to take care of my husband." Juliana said.

Meanwhile, at the hospital, the doctor placed a call to Angel and informed her that Chief Willie was dead. She also told her that Juliana was nowhere to be found.

"I said that she will run away. I was right after all. She has disappeared. My children and I have won the battle. Thank you doctor. I don't care about his dead body. You can throw his dead body into the ocean. I'm not coming to the hospital. I will just go ahead and share his wealth among my children." Angel said happily. She had no idea that Chief Willie was still alive.

Juliana had arrived in her village and she immediately took Chief Willie to the bone setter's house. The bone setter gave them one of his huts to live in.

"He will survive. There's no broken bone that I cannot set back. Your husband's case is a small thing." The bone setter said to Juliana. She was sitting beside the bamboo bed where the bone setter was attending to her husband.

As the bone setter was doing his work, Chief Willie could feel it because the pain was much. He was making 'little little' noises.

"The noise shows that he can still feel pain. He is still alive even though he is not talking. He will talk soon." The bone setter tells Juliana who was crying.

"Don't cry. Everything will be fine. You are lucky you brought your husband here on time. If not, he would have died at the hospital." The bone setter said.

Meanwhile, back in the house, Angel and her children started enjoying Chief Willie's wealth. They found one of his ATM cards. The card has N100 million in it. Angel knows the pin because when she was living with Chief Willie, she used to use that same card.

"There's no need to rush. We will be enjoying the N100 million first. When it finishes, we will start selling his properties." Angel said to her children.
