The Dying Billionaire Episode 5
Chief Omenka called one of his former side chicks, Pamela. She came to the hospital and greeted him with a smile. "Chief, you look stronger today," she said. He nodded and replied, "Pamela, I need you to do something important for me. I want a child. I want you to give me a child." Pamela was surprised. "Chief, are you serious?" she asked. He nodded again. "I am. I don't have much time left, but I want to leave my wealth to my own child." She stared at him in silence, then said, "If you're serious, get your lawyer."
The next morning, Chief Omenka's lawyer arrived at the hospital. Chief explained everything to him. "I want Pamela to have my child. She will be taken care of. The child will inherit everything." The lawyer looked at Pamela. "Are you willing to do this?" Pamela replied, "Yes. As long as I am protected and everything is legal." The lawyer brought out documents and began drafting the agreement. When he was done, Pamela signed first, then Chief. The lawyer folded the documents and said, "It's done. I will file it properly. Everything said, "It's done. I will file it properly. Everything is now legal and binding."
From that night, Pamela began to sleep in the hospital. She stayed with Chief and took care of him. "Chief, are you sure you're ready for this kind of activity?" she teased one night. Chief smiled. "I still have energy where it matters," he replied. The nurses noticed her presence but didn't say anything. Everyone could see that Pamela made Chief happy. She was consistent. Every night, she was there. Chief looked forward to her company. It was clear that he had made up his mind. He wanted this child more than anything.
Two months later, Pamela missed her period. She bought a pregnancy test kit and used it. It was positive. She was excited. She rushed to the hospital and entered Chief's room smiling. "Chief, I have good news," she said. "I'm pregnant." Chief's eyes lit up. "Finally! Thank God! My own child is on the way." He asked the nurse to call his lawyer immediately. The lawyer arrived within an hour. Pamela showed him the result. "This is good news," the lawyer said. "I'll make sure everything is prepared for the future of this child," he added.
Meanwhile, Ebube had started noticing that something was going on. She saw Pamela at the hospital almost every day. One day, she asked a nurse, "Who is that lady that keeps coming here?" The nurse replied, "She comes to see Chief often. She even sleeps over sometimes." Ebube was not happy. She hired someone to follow Pamela. That was how she found out that Pamela was pregnant for Chief. She quickly called Dike. "Your father got that woman pregnant! Do you know what that means? We are finished if that baby is born!" Dike said nothing for a few seconds.
"What do we do now?" Dike finally asked. Ebube replied, "We stop her before it's too late." She called her cousin Emeka, who lived in another town. "I need your help. There's a woman trying to ruin my life. I want her taken somewhere. I don't want her harmed. Just hide her." Emeka agreed but demanded payment. Ebube promised to pay him well. The plan was simple: Dike would monitor Pamela's movements, and Emeka's men would handle the rest. Everything was arranged for the following week. Ebube felt she had found a solution.

One evening, Pamela left the hospital early. She entered a taxi going home. Along the way, another car blocked the road. Two men jumped out, dragged her out of the taxi, and forced her into their own vehicle. "Leave me alone! What do you want?" she screamed. One of them said, "Keep quiet. You'll be fine if you cooperate." They tied her hands and covered her mouth. In a few minutes, the car drove off with Pamela inside. They had vanished without a trace.
The next morning, the nurses waited for Pamela, but she didn't show up. "She didn't even call," one of them said. Another added, "That's strange. She never misses a day." Chief noticed her absence. "Where is Pamela? Has anyone spoken to her?" Everyone said no. They tried her number, but it was switched off. After two days, Chief became worried. "Call my lawyer. Let him go and check on her." The lawyer went to her apartment but found it empty. He returned and said, "Sir, no one has seen her for two days now."
Neighbours said Pamela had not returned home. The lawyer told Chief everything. "Something is wrong," Chief said. "She wouldn't just disappear. That's my child she's carrying." Meanwhile, Pamela was being held in a small, locked room in a remote village.
Emeka's men were guarding her closely. She was not allowed to make calls or speak to anyone. Ebube visited once and stood in front of her. "You won't destroy my family. You'll stay here until my husband is gone. That baby will not be born," she said coldly before turning and walking away.
Pamela has gone missing. Chief Omenka is getting worried. His lawyer suspects something is wrong. Ebube feels like she has won, believing she has secured Dike's future. Dike is becoming tired of the whole situation but still follows his mother's plan. What no one knows is that the lawyer has already made backup plans. He had copies of the pregnancy agreement and had begun investigating Pamela's disappearance. The battle for Chief's wealth is far from over.
