Searching For a Male Child Episode Nine

When Bekee woke up the next morning, she did not greet Okenwa her husband. She just jumped out of the bed as if there was something troubling her heart. She moved out of the room as if she was going out to confront the problem that stopped her from having a good night.

Bekee wanted to go and confront Eberechi because she strongly believes she is the one responsible for the misfortune that what was happening to Okenwa. Okenwa himself had refused to mention what actually happened to Bekee. He was ashamed. Bekee decided that Eberechi was going to suffer for the bad night she had with Okenwa.

When Bekke entered the living room, she saw Eberechi and her children having breakfast.

Eberechi was preparing the children for school. They were already dressed in their uniform and they were eating so they could go to school quickly. They were almost done when Bekee sauntered into the room like a woman on a mission. Her face showed that she had come for trouble again. She wanted to do everything possible to make life miserable for Eberehi and her children. She has made up her mind that she was going to give Eberechi so much trouble that she would have no option but to pack of the house.

"Yesterday night, I told you people to stop using this dining table. It is as if something is blocking your ears? Are you people deaf? Do you want to tell me that you did not hear me yesterday? I said it clearly that you and your children should completely avoid this dining area and you woke up this morning to come here again. Are you people mad? Is something wrong with your heads? Am I the one that told you to give birth to too many children? Please, take all these rats away from here." Bekee said but Eberechi did not respond.

Eberechi was busy pouring tea from a jug, giving cups and slices of bread to her children. She was too preoccupied with preparing her children for school. She did not want to waste her time responding to Bekee who she has come to regard as a ranting dog. In Eberechi's opinion, she has realized that life is too short for one to wake up every day and be looking for trouble. There is simply no fun in that. There is more fun in being peaceful and pursuing great goals. And right now, her goal is to grow her supermarket, establish another branch and raise her children without the help of her husband.

"Are you not hearing me? Take all these children away from here. This is the second time I'm warning you. If I close my eyes and open it and I still see your rats here, I will carry all of them and fling them outside. Shameless woman! You think I don't know what you did to my husband? You damaged his cassava and it is not working again. I was thinking that he would use his lizard to tickle me last night but no such thing happened. The lizard did not even shake head until daybreak. You have spoilt his cassava. It is not working again. You forced him to get you pregnant too many times such that his thing collapsed. You think I don't know? Shameless witch! I wonder what my husband saw in you before he took as a wife. You just came here to damage his cassava with female children." Bekee said. Eberechi still did not respond. She wanted to laugh but decided against the idea. She tried so hard to control the laughter that was threatening to break her mouth.

"I said I'm closing my eyes, before I will open them, let it be that all the rats are out of this dining table. I want to set morning food for my husband and I don't want him to share the same table with your unfortunate children. I'm closing my eyes now, don't say I didn't warn you." Bekee said as she closed her eyes.

When she closed her eyes, Eberechi quickly brought out her phone and put on the camera. Bekee was not seeing. Bekee opened her eyes and still saw Eberechi and her children eating away as if they did not even notice her presence. Bekee grabbed a jug containing hot water from the table and poured it on everyone on the dining table. All the children started shouting and crying in pain. The whole place was turned upside down.

But Eberechi still did not react physically. She was glad that the water was not hot enough to cause damage to her children. She simply took her children, and conveyed them to school. All of them were safe.

Bekee was shocked that Eberechi did not even react after what she did to her children that morning.

"What kind of woman is this? just want to box with her one-on-one but it's like she is not Interested. I even poured water on her children and she still did not come to face me. Instead of facing me, she took the children and walked away calmly. What kind of heart does she have?" Bekee asked herself after Eberechi left the house.

However, Bekee had no idea that Eberechi had a plan. She did not know that Eberechi had captured a video showing when she poured hot water on the her children. Immediately Eberechi left the house, she picked up her phone and called police. Eberechi sent the video to the police and told them what happened. The police swung into action. They used their van to drive to Okenwa's house where they quickly arrested Bekee.

"You are under arrest for child abu'se. A video in our possession shows you pouring hot water on innocent children. You will have to follow us to the police station so that you will explain yourself. You could be charged to court. We advise you get a lawyer for yourself." The leader of the police officers said.

That very week, Bekee was charged to court. The evidence against her was too much. She was sent to jail for six months.
