Searching For a Male Child Episode Seven

Okenwa continued to languish in psychological problems because his wife has decided to completely abandon him. She continued to distance herself from him. Eberechi refused to serve him food. She refused to boil water for him to take his bath. Each time she finished cooking, Eberechi will tell her husband to go and make garri for himself. She would dish soup for him and ask him to go and carry the food from the kitchen by himself. This is unlike before when she used to kneel down to serve him food. Okenwa wondered what was giving his wife the courage to treat him the way she did.

"I will soon replace you with another woman. By the time you see my new wife, your eyes will clear." Okenwa said but Eberechi still said nothing. The fact she was not saying anything was making him to run mad. He went to his room to relax his head and think.

"How can I tell my wife that I will stop giving him money and stop paying the children's school fees and she will refuse to say anything? I was expecting her to start crying. I was expecting her to start begging me, but she shocked me. She did not even say a word. Even when I told her I'm going to marry a new wife, she did not cry like she used to cry before. What is going on?" Okenwa asked himself while alone in his room.

"Alright! I know what to do. Maybe, she thinks I'm joking. I will go ahead and bring my second wife. Thank God I have already secretly paid the bride price. I will just go to the village and bring her tomorrow. By that time, Eberechi will know that I'm serious about getting a new wife. By the time I introduce by new wife, she will certainly run mad. I'm sure this new wife will give me a male child. The male child will inherit my property and I will leave Eberechi and her children with nothing." Okenwa said.

Very early the next morning, he travelled to the village and brought his new wife named Bekee.
