The Man From China Episode Thirteen

Adanna's heart was beating with speed after she spat the water on the helicopter. She was tired due to the number of minutes she had to run from the waterfall to the place where the helicopter was parked. She was breathing very fast. At some points, she had to sit on the ground to rest and catch her breath for a while. Despite the fact that she was tired, she was still keeping her eyes on the helicopter to see what would happen after she poured the water on it. After some times, nothing happened and she was wondering if the spirits had lied to her.

She stood up in fear and started moving around the helicopter to check and see if the door was opening or not. He moved around and saw that the airplane's door was still tightly locked and nothing positive had happened. She started panicking and thinking that all her efforts had been in vain. She looked into the airplane through the glass windows and she could not see the Chinese people again. She wondered if they had died. It was like the airplane had become empty and deserted.

Before she went to the waterfall to bring the water, Adanna could see the Chinese people, although, they had become weak and unable to move around. They were just standing and looking around in search of help. But now, Adanna could not see them again. She wondered what had happened to the Chinese people. She became afraid as she started thinking they have all died. She started reasoning that it was already too late. She was sad that she came too late and she could not save her friends from the cold hands of death. Adanna started crying. Her tears were pouring like water,

"I came too late. They are dead. They were starved of oxygen. No matter all I tried to help them, I could not save their lives. They stayed too long in the helicopter without air. They did not even have food to eat. They have suffered and died despite what I tried to do to help them, I still failed. I'm so sad right now. How can so many people die at the same time? This is not good at all. Chinese people! Chinese people! Where are you? Are you still in the airplane? Please answer me if you are still alive and you are hearing my voice." Adanna shouted in a loud voice. She was afraid and restless.

She ran back to the front of the aircraft but there was still no sign that the door would open. She did not see any sign that a human being was inside. Adanna was really disappointed. She was disappointed in herself for failing to save her friends and she was disappointed in the spirits because she was beginning to think they lied to her. She decided to go back to the stream to complain to the waterfall. She was going to tell the spirits that what they said did not happen.

"Let me go and inform them. They should know that they lied. They should know that the people I wanted to save are already dead. I will ask them if I did not do the right thing or what. But I'm sure I did exactly what the spirits asked me to do. They are the ones who are falling my hands. I will let them know they have failed me. They have failed to keep their promise of helping to save my friends." Adanna said. She started running to the waterfall. She got there within a few minutes.

"What happened to the Chinese people? I cannot see them anymore after I poured the water on the airplane as you instructed. Did I not do it righty? I told you they are my friends and I did not want them to die. Where are they right She ran back to the front of the aircraft but there was still no sign that the door would open. "What happened to the Chinese people? I cannot see them anymore after I poured the water on the airplane as you instructed. Did I not do it righty? I told you they are my friends and I did not want them to die. Where are they right

now? Are they dead? Did you make them to disappear into thin air? Tell me where they are because I cannot see them in the aircraft anymore. Please, speak to me because I need an explanation before I will run mad." Adanna shouted. She then waited. As usual, she reached out to her inner heart so she would hear the spirits.

"Your friends have been saved and they are alive. Go back to the airplane and you will see all of them." The spirits said.

"So why did I not see them the first time? Where were they? Why did you make me to come back here to start asking you questions again? Can't you see that I'm pregnant? Do you think it is easy to run around in this large forest with my heavy baby bump?" Adanna asked angrily. She started running back to where the airplane was parked. Even from a far distance, she could see that the door of the helicopter had opened and she saw the Chinese people outside.

"Thanks goodness, they are safe. I'm so happy to see them. The helicopter is open. I'm so happy." Adanna said. She quickly hugged the Chinese people one after the other. She knows all of them. They were happy to see the woman who used to sell delicious food to them at their base.

"Thank you so much for saving our lives. This is truly a mysterious forest. Now, I believe that we are in a dangerous forest and we have to behave ourselves." The boss of the Chinese workers said. Adanna took them to the anthill and fed them with fruits and meat.

"You people should manage it. This is all I have here." She said.

That same evening, some gun men attacked the village and killed a lot of people. They attacked the palace, killed the king and the crown prince. They also occupied the palace and installed one of them as the new king. They imposed heavy taxes on the people and anyone who failed to pay was killed.

"I can hear gunshots from the village. I hope all is well? What is happening in the village?" Adanna asked herself.
