The Man From China Episode Twelve

Adanna did not know how best to help the Chinese people in the helicopter. She had tried everything she knew and did all she could to rescue them but she couldn't. The door to the helicopter refused to open and the windows were as tight as the cork of a soft drink. The Chinese people needed to get oxygen because the aircraft was airtight. They also tried to open the plane from the inside but their efforts were futile. They were hungry and tired and Adanna was just there watching them helplessly without knowing how to intervene.

"I don't like this kind of situation.

I don't like seeing people that I can help and I'm not able to do anything. It would have been better for me not to see them instead of seeing them and I can't do anything to rescue them. It's like there is no more oxygen in the airplane. How are they going to survive in there? What am I going to do? I have never operated an airplane door before and I don't know how I can open it for them to come out." Adanna said to herself. The Chinese people cannot hear her.

"But wait, why is it that the airplane fell into the forest and it was not scattered? From what I have heard about plane crashes, it usually causes a lot of damage when it happens. But for this one, nothing happened to the airplane. This is clearly very mysterious. Also, since the airplane is intact, the pilot should have been able to easily open the door for them to come out, clearly, they have tried and failed. It is clear that something spiritual is happening here and I have to find out before I can help this people." Adanna said to herself. Her brain was beginning to reason very far.

"But who am I going to ask? If I'm able to enter the village, I would have asked the native doctor who knows how things work in the forest so that he could tell me what went wrong. But from what I'm seeing, it is as if these people have offended the spirits in this forest. I think the spirits in the forest are angry with them and that was why they made the plane to fall and also locked them inside. My fear is that if I can't unlock the airplane, they will die due to a lack of oxygen. I think there must be something I can do." Adanna said. She started thinking of the things that happened when she first arrived the forest after being banished. She remembered the voices she heard which told her that her son would become the king of the village. She remembered that she was standing close to the waterfall when she heard the voice. Adanna decided to pay a visit to the place where the waterfall is located. She hopes she would find an answer there.

Despite her pregnancy, Adanna was able to run fast to the water fall. She nearly fell but she kept running in an effort to get there fast so that she could seek ways to save her Chinese friends. She was deeply worried about them. She was also worried about her boyfriend Chin Cheng. She was hoping that when she is able to save the Chinese people, she would ask them about him. It was not long before Adanna got to the waterfall. She stood there and lifted up her hands and waited silently to see if she would hear something or get some instructions on how to help the Chinese people.

Adanna stood there for several minutes and she did not hear anything at all. All she was hearing was the 'piti pata piti pata' sound of the water falling on the numerous stones and rocks on the ground where water had collected. Then, she realized that she was not supposed to listen with her ears, but with her mind. She calmed down and reached out to her mind's ears and that was when she heard what she was supposed to do.

"The Chinese people have violated the laws of the forest. This forest cannot be turned into a profit-making venture as they are dreaming. It was your boyfriend Chin Cheng who sold the idea to his boss. Your boyfriend is still alive only because of you and the baby you are carrying in your womb. If not that the baby is the future king of the village, we would have killed Chin Cheng first." The voice said Adanna.

"Please, where is my boyfriend right now? Where is he? Is he still alive? Is he in trouble? What can I do to help him? And what can I do to help his friends who are trapped in the airplane? They will die if nothing is done to help them. Please tell me how to rescue them. If they have offended the spirits, then there must be a way to appease the spirits. I will do whatever it takes." Adanna said breathlessly.

"We are only going to spare them because they have a role to play in what is going to happen to the entire village. Something terrible is about to happen to the village. We the spirits protecting the village are angry with the Crown Prince and his father. We are going to remove him in a way

he cannot imagine and his family would be wiped out and they will never smell kingship again. The process has already begun." The spirits tell Adanna. She still hasn't heard what she wanted to hear.

"What about my boyfriend and how can I help the Chinese people?" Adanna asked apprehensively.

"Your boyfriend is in danger but nothing will happen to him. As for his Chinese friends, fetch water with your mouth and pour it on the airplane." The spirits said. Adanna rushed to the water quickly, bent down and sipped the water until her mouth was full. She ran back to the airplane spat the water out on it. She waited to see what would happen next.
