The Man From China Episode Eleven

Adanna waited for the whole day without seeing Chin Cheng. She was really worried about what might have happened to him. She didn't expect that his trip to the village would last that long. The village was not that far from the evil forest and she thought he would return quickly. She has been watching and waiting and there was no trace of Chin Cheng. She wondered what must have happened to him. Adanna was worried that the Crown Prince may have rearrested Chin Cheng. Her mind went to several directions when she was trying to figure out what fate may have befallen her boyfriend.

"What happened to him? I'm so worried about the fact that I have not seen him. He ought to have returned to the forest. He has stayed too long in the village. He promised me that he was going to return to the forest with his friends who would help him build a house for me but since then, I have not seen him. This is not a good sign. It's almost night and he is not here yet. The worse is that I cannot even come out of the forest to look for him. If I step foot in the village, the people might arrest me and detain me."

Adanna said to herself.

She had come out from the anthill house and she was walking around the forest. She had searched everywhere and she found nothing. She looked around most corners of the forest to know if wild animals had attacked Chin Cheng, but she saw no sign of such a thing. She kept moving until she got to the entrance of the forest from where a small road entered the village. When she got there, she saw a lot of bulldozers. She also saw the dead body of the Chinese man who had died there earlier. She was shocked to see a dead body at the entrance of the forest. She did not expect such a thing. Adanna's heart started beating faster than normal. She started thinking that the worse may have happened to Chin Cheng.

"Where is my Chin Cheng? What happened to him? Why are the bulldozers scattered like this? Why is this Chinese man dead? I know this man back then in the village, why did he die? What killed him and where are his companions? It looks like he was not alone when he was killed, but where are the rest of the people that came with him? What happened to all of them? This one that I'm seeing a dead body here, what happened to my Chin Cheng. Oh God! I'm so

scared right now. Is Chin Cheng still alive? It is as if a wild animal attacked them when they came into the forest and they were killed. Where is the father of my unborn baby? Chin Cheng where are you? Please, answer me and tell me where you are before I collapse." Adanna said loudly. Her voice was so loud such that it echoed through the forest but no one responded.

Adanna did not know what to do with the dead body she saw at the entrance of the forest. She is not strong enough to carry a dead body. She would have preferred to bury the man but she could not do it alone. Her pregnancy was beginning to take a toll on her. Her baby bump was now very big and protruding. As much as possible, she has been trying to avoid any situation that would make her bend down for a long time. She does not want the pregnancy to develop complications.

"I would have liked to bury you, but I can't do it. I will just leave you here hoping that Chin Cheng will come back, then I will inform him. But I don't even know what happened to him. I don't know if he was also attacked and killed by whatever happened to you. I'm really very sad right now. If Chin Cheng also died, I might not be able to endure it. If anything happen to him, the sorrow will just kill me. God, please, help me and protect Chin Cheng wherever he is right now." Adanna said. She started walking back into the forest. She wanted to quickly get back to the anthill so that she would rest a little before looking for something to eat.

As Adanna was walking back, she was still looking around areas she has not searched before. That was when she set her eyes on the helicopter in the middle of the forest. Earlier in the day, she had heard the sound of a helicopter flying by but she did not know that the aeroplane came down into the forest. What shocked her was that there was no evidence that the helicopter crashed. The whole plane was still intact. More shocking to her was that she could still see humans inside. Also, the people she was seeing were known to her. Adanna knows all the Chinese people in her village because she was the one who sold food to them before she was banished.

"Oh God! Their helicopter crashed into the evil forest. It is as if they were looking for me. I'm happy to see that all of them are still alive. None of them died. I hope my Chin Cheng is one of those in the helicopter? But how could this have happened? Why would an aeroplane crash and there will be no single damage on the airplane? What happened? This is mysterious and strange. Let me go close to the aircraft and see what is going on." Adanna said as she rushed to the helicopter.

She saw the Chinese people inside and she was wondering why they have not opened the helicopter door and come out.

"Please, open the door for us. We are stuck inside this place and we are hungry. We have been here since morning. Thank God you are here now." The overall boss of the Chinese people said to Adanna. She did not hear him because the doors are airtight. But she understood what he was saying by reading his lips and hand gestures.

Adanna tried to open the helicopter door but she failed. The door cannot be opened from the outside or from the inside. The Chinese people were stuck. They were hungry and weak and there was no way to rescue them. It was a big trouble.

"This is mysterious. Why is the door refusing to open? If I leave them here, they will die. They are my friends. And they are friends to my Chin Cheng. My Chin Cheng is not even here with them. Where is he? May be, if I can open the helicopter, I can asked them about Chin Cheng. But how am going to open it?" Adanna asked herself.
