The Man From China Episode 9

Chin Cheng remained unconscious where he had fallen as there was no one to help him. No one even knew that he fell there. Adanna had no idea that Chin Cheng was facing challenges when he attempted to re-enter the forest. People in the village also did not know of what was going on. In fact, nobody goes to the evil forest, so no one knows what goes on there. People avoided the evil forest like a plague. They never wanted to have anything doing there because of the fear of dying.

Chin Cheng's companions had gone to the village to inform their boss of what was going on. He was angry and even thought they were telling him lies. He wondered why iron would scatter into pieces. He asked them to explain how a bulldozer went off and refused to start. He also asked them about what happened to Chin Cheng and they were not able to tell him the full story because they did not see everything. The overall boss decided to go to evil forest to see things for himself. He was really interested in colonizing the evil forest and turning it into a profitable venture.

"I really don't understand what happened there. How can you say the bulldozer went off? I mean, I have been doing construction work for many years and I have never seen a bulldozer going off when it did not develop any faults. Are you sure you had fuel in the bulldozer? Are you sure you checked everything on the engine and other vital parts before driving it to the forest? Well, let me not be asking questions. I will follow you to the evil forest so that I will see things for myself." The Chinese boss said.

The overall boss is a very powerful person. Apart from having a fleet of expensive cars that he uses to move around, he also had a helicopter given to him by the company. The helicopter is stationed at their base in Adanna's village. He decided that they were going to go to the evil forest in the helicopter instead of using cars or bulldozers. He reasoned that if bulldozers were going off and scattering into pieces, that would not happen to a helicopter which will be flying in the air above the evil forest. They boarded the plane and they started flying to the evil forest.

"I can't believe one of my workers just died in the evil forest just like that and you people cannot account for the whereabouts of Chin Cheng who took you there. What happened to him? Why did you run away and leave him there? What if he dies too? You should never have left him there. Anyway, I still can't believe all the cock and bull stories you were telling me. A simple forest cannot be powerful enough to kill human beings. If you are saying that dangerous animals attacked you people, it would be a different thing, but you said the bulldozers just scattered into pieces. What kind of story is that? I don't believe you." The boss said.

They Chines workers were a few minutes away from the evil forest. They were discussing the matter and wondering why the boss had refused to believe them. They were angry that he thought they were telling him lies. However, they were happy that he was finally going to see the evil forest by himself. They were secretly scared that something bad might happen to the helicopter they were flying in. But they didn't express their fears, they bottled everything up.

With what they saw when they took the bulldozers to the evil forest, none of the Chinese workers wanted to return there even on a helicopter. They were scared but they could not tell their boss. They had to follow him because he is the overall boss and they were afraid of refusing to carry out his instructions. However, they knew that the journey could end up as a disaster. As the helicopter was approaching the evil forest, many of them almost pooped in their trouser due to fear of what could go wrong.

"I can see the evil forest now. What a beautiful place. How come I never knew that a place like this existed in this village? Why did the villagers abandon it and named it an evil forest? The place is so beautiful and serene. It has tall trees and I can even see a waterfall there. Why is the place abandoned and named an evil forest?

These villagers don't know how to make use of the good things they have. We will conquer this place and make good use of it since they don't like it. Even if they want, we will pay them money for it." The overall boss said with happiness when the helicopter flew above the forest.

The helicopter continued to fly until it got to the middle of the forest. That was when the engine went off. The pilot tried all he could to regain control of the air plane but he was unable to do that. He lost complete control. Everyone on the plane started shouting. They knew that things have gone wrong with the plane and that there was no rescue coming. Not even the pilot could explain what happened.

"What is going on? This is a new helicopter. The engine cannot just go off like that. I want you to regain control of this airplane now! Find the fault and fix it." The overall boss shouted at the pilot, but it was already too late. The helicopter was already going down terribly and it was no longer gaining altitude. In a matter of seconds, they found themselves falling like a bird with clipped wings. They were shouting, but one surprising thing was that the airplane was falling straight and it was not throwing them around. It was not like it was going to crash. It was just descending slowly and steadily into the forest. That was how it fell into the middle of the forest but it was intact and no one was injured. However, when they attempted to open the airplane and come out, they could not. It was tightly locked.

"This is mysterious!" The overall boss said when he saw what happened.
