Spider-Man 4 Title Revealed for Tom Holland Sequel
Tom Holland, who plays Spider-Man in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, has revealed the official title for the upcoming fourth film in the franchise: Spider-Man 4: Brand New Day. Holland announced the title in a pre-recorded video shown at CinemaCon, where he thanked fans for their ongoing support and described the film as “a fresh start.” The movie will hit theaters on July 31, 2026.

Director Destin Daniel Cretton, known for Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings, also appeared on stage at CinemaCon along with Tom Holland. Cretton said, “To say that it’s an honor to be standing on this stage is a pretty big understatement,” and described Spider-Man as a character defined by his “humor” and “messy humanity” (via The Hollywood Reporter). He added that the movie will be “a ride that we haven’t really seen before.”
The 2008 comic book arc Brand New Day provides the title for the upcoming film, following the One More Day storyline that magically erased Peter Parker’s identity from public memory. The arc reset Spider-Man’s life, portraying Peter as a bachelor and introducing a new supporting cast. The film title aligns with the conclusion of Spider-Man: No Way Home (2021), where a spell made everyone forget Peter Parker.
Amy Pascal produces the film for Pascal Pictures, while Kevin Feige produces for Marvel Studios. Erik Sommers and Chris McKenna return to write the script after previously working on No Way Home.
The production team plans to begin filming in summer 2025. Sony and Disney maintain their collaboration on Spider-Man under a 2015 agreement that integrated the character into the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
Sony will release Spider-Man 4: Brand New Day between Avengers: Doomsday (May 1, 2026) and Avengers: Secret Wars (May 7, 2027). Holland last played the role in No Way Home, which reportedly earned over an estimated $1.9 billion globally.
