Fatima’s face pulled into a smile as the words sank in. Yeah, they could do more to make her pay — that was for sure. But what?

“But there’s nothing we could threaten her with,” Fatima said.

Samantha raised an eyebrow as she stood up, running her hand through her hair.
“We won’t threaten her,” she said, a cunning smile spreading across her lips.

She walked over to Fatima and gently lifted her chin.

“You are my best friend, and I love you very much. No one messes with you and gets away with it.”

Fatima swallowed and nodded.
“I’ll deal with Ana. You — your focus must be on Charlie. It’s been long enough. You gave him time to enjoy himself. Now it’s your turn to show him who the real boss is,” Samantha said, letting go of Fatima’s chin but keeping her gaze fixed on her.

Fatima raised an eyebrow, curiosity written all over her face.

“Meaning?” she asked.

Samantha rolled her eyes, clearly annoyed.
“Why are you so slow, Tima?” Her eyes narrowed as she continued,
“When you approached my brother, what was the deal?”

“Marry him,” Fatima replied.

“Then it’s time to do something. Make him marry you. If you become his wife, you’ll have the control you want over him,” Samantha said.

“You know I can’t force him to marry me,” Fatima voiced softly.

Samantha glared at her, irritation growing. Why was she being so slow?

“You have to do something that will make him. Get pregnant. I know my brother — once he finds out you’re carrying his child, he’ll never leave.”

Fatima’s eyes widened in shock as she shook her head, disagreeing.

“Sam, please… I can’t do that. He doesn’t even touch me these days. I just… I can’t. What if he… he… I don’t…” Fatima’s voice trembled with fear and uncertainty.

“Tima… Fatima, what’s wrong with you? When did you become like this? The plan was for you to marry him a long time ago. Now look — it’s been three damn years and you’re still not married. And you’re telling me this nonsense?”

She stepped closer.

“You are going to convince him to sleep with you or marry you. Or else that little bitch will take him away. Your choice,” she said, her voice stern and scolding.

Then she turned, opened the door, and walked out.

Fatima stared into space, her mind racing. So many thoughts. So many emotions.

“I love him. I can’t lose him,” she whispered, her hands shaking, lips trembling.

“I must do something. Charlie Kings belongs to me and no one else,” she said to herself.

After some time, Fatima composed herself and walked out. Her legs carried her to Mr. Kings’s room — just two doors down from Sam’s. As she walked, her heels echoed against the polished tiles.

She stopped in front of his door. It was slightly open, and she could hear his deep voice speaking on the phone.

“Who is he talking to?” she asked herself. She pushed the door open and walked inside. Mr. Kings’s eyes snapped to her. Her breath hitched as she stared at his half-n+ked body. He had a towel wrapped around his waist, his hair still damp, water dripping down to his abs. Her eyes trailed down to his V-line. She swallowed and licked her lips, unable to hide her desire.

“I’ll talk later. Thank you for your time, sir,” Mr. Kings said into the phone and hung up, his gaze still locked on her — plain and unreadable.

He stepped closer, Fatima’s heart pounding through her shirt.

“What are you doing here?” he asked. His voice was gruff and s+y, sending a shiver of pleasure through her.

“I want… to talk to you,” Fatima said, nervously twisting her hands in the fabric of her skirt.

“Talk about what?”

“Us… I miss you,” Fatima said and moved closer, her hands lifting slightly. “Don’t you miss me?” Her voice was soft, filled with longing.

“Don’t do this. You don’t want to start something you can’t finish,” Mr. Kings said as Fatima’s hands reached his bare chest, gently touching him.

She stared up at him, then rose onto her tiptoes before she…

At Ana’s Apartment ✨✨

Ana paid the taxi driver and walked to the gate. She greeted the security officer before heading to her unit. She climbed the steps leading up to her floor, where she stayed.

Her mind wandered back to the restaurant scene. She didn’t understand why Mr. Kings was being nice or trying to talk to her. But of course, he was blaming her — that’s why he said all those things. And Fatima? What was her problem? Why did she always want to fight every time they met?

She sighed. As she reached her door, she opened it — a sweet aroma filled her nose the moment she stepped inside.

She gasped and ran to the kitchen, quickly removing her shoes at the door.

“Mom!” she called out, giggling, her voice full of excitement.

“Mom… you’re here?” she asked as her mother turned around, a soft smile spreading across her face. Mrs. Evans opened her arms, and Ana ran into them, hugging her tightly. Tears welled in Ana’s eyes as her mother’s warmth surrounded her.

“I missed you so much, Mom,” she sniffled, smiling through her tears.

“And I missed you too, my beautiful daughter. Now stop crying,” Mrs. Evans said gently, her voice soft. As they pulled apart, she cupped Ana’s cheeks and wiped her tears. Ana smiled and giggled, then fell into her arms again.

“Aww, my baby, you missed me this much?” Mrs. Evans said, and Ana nodded.

“When did you come?” Ana asked, finally letting go. She sat on the kitchen stool as her mother turned back to her cooking.

“Not long ago. I came here to see my beautiful, innocent kids — only to find your brother eating someone’s daughter,” Mrs. Evans said with a chuckle.

Ana’s eyes widened in surprise. “Alvin was—?”

“Yes! If I hadn’t come in time, I’m sure that boy would’ve taken that little girl’s clothes off and done as he pleased,” she said, rolling her eyes. “I didn’t know I raised freaks as my kids. Mxm!”

Ana laughed and walked over to her. Tilting her head with a soft smile, she said, “I’m not a freak, Mom.”

Mrs. Evans shook her head. “Maybe you’re worse than your brother. Who knows what you were doing out there, wearing this sexy dress?” she said, eyeing Ana’s outfit.

“There’s nothing wrong with my dress,” Ana replied with a smile.

Mrs. Evans raised an eyebrow. “I didn’t say anything was wrong with it,” she said.

“I didn’t go to meet a man, Mrs. Evans, so you should relax,” Ana added as she opened the refrigerator and took out an apple. She took a bite, then stared at her mother’s hair.

“When did you cut your hair?” she asked.

“Two months ago,” Mrs. Evans replied as she began setting out the plates.

“Why?” Ana asked. “You loved your hair long, so what made you cut it all of a sudden?” Her voice was filled with curiosity.

Mrs. Evans stayed quiet for a moment before answering. “I just like it better this way. Go call your brother.”

“Mom?” Ana called again, eyebrows raised.

“Ana, let it go, please. Go call your brother,” Mrs. Evans said as she turned around and focused on her task.

Ana sighed and walked from the kitchen to the dining area, then headed toward Alvin’s room. She stopped in front of the door when she heard muffled voices — and then moans.

“Sto… stop… it’s too… much,” she heard Liana’s breathless voice.

“Alvin!” Ana called, banging on the door. There was no answer….

“You little brat, open the door now!” she shouted.

“If you don’t open up, I’m going to barge in there!” she warned, banging again.

Inside Alvin’s room:
Liana giggled and buried her face in Alvin’s chest.

“Your sister is here,” she said, laughing softly.

Alvin slipped his hand under the oversized sweater she was wearing, his fingers brushing her sensitive skin.

“She can go. I don’t care,” he whispered against her lips as they both giggled.

“Liana! Alvin!” Ana’s voice rang through the door again.

“I think we should stop,” Liana said, trying to push him away gently, but he pinned her beneath him.

“No…!”

“ALVIN, DON’T ANNOY ME! I’M GOING TO CALL LIANA’S PARENTS IF YOU GUYS DON’T OPEN THE DAMN DOOR!” Ana screamed.

Alvin groaned and rolled off Liana. “You should go. I’ll come out in a minute,” he said, helping her up. He glanced at her clothes and grinned.

She was wearing his sweater and sweatpants — both way too big on her.

“You look beautiful,” he said, pecking her lips before heading into the bathroom.

Liana walked to the door and opened it, her cheeks flushed pink as she came face-to-face with Ana, who stood there with her arms crossed.
