Husband To Two Wives Episode One

“Today is my wedding day, but the woman I'm going to marry does not know that I already have a wife. A week ago, I secretly got married to the love of my life, called Wunmi. I have dated Wumni for five years. But when I brought her home for introduction, my mother rejected her. My mother went ahead to use her hand to pick a wife for me. My mother picked a woman named Ife and insisted that I must marry her.

"I love my mother so much and I didn't want to make her sad. So, I'm going to marry Ife even though I don't love her. I will marry her for my mother's sake. However, I secretly married Wunmi because we had agreed never to leave each other. Wunmi is the person I truly love and she is my wife. Ife is not my wife. I married her for my mother and I married Wunmi for myself. That makes me a husband to two wives,” Femi said in his heart as he was dressing up for her wedding. He was in a hotel room where he passed the night with Ife.

“Wunmi is also in this hotel with me. Ife has no idea that Wunmi is here. She thinks I love her, but I'm just pretending because of my mother. My real wife is Wunmi. I even made love to her last night in this same hotel and Ife did not know. When Ife wanted me to make love to her yesterday, I pretended that I was not feeling fine. I moved to a different hotel room and slept with Wunmi, my real wife and the love of my life. Ife thought I went to buy medicine, but I went to sleep with her co-wife. She does not even know that she has a co-wife. It is after the wedding that I will expose everything,” Femi said. He buttoned his suit and stepped out. His best man was already waiting for him in the car. Ife was also in the car dressed in her wedding gown. She is happy that it is her wedding day, but she did not know that Femi is already a husband to another woman.

“Let's go! It's time to go and get married,” Femi said as soon as he entered the car. The driver matched the throttle and the car moved. They were on their way to church where the wedding will take place. But no one knew that Femi is already married. As he was in the car, he removed his phone from his pocket and started chatting with Wunmi, the woman he truly loves.

“My love! The love of my life. The woman I truly love. I hope you are ready for the wedding? I want you to be there live and direct. No one knows that I have married you, but I want to see you at my wedding with Ife,” Femi said to Wunmi.

“Why do you want me to come and watch as you get married to another woman? I really don't want to be there. I just want to pack my things and move to your house this evening. I don't wish to come to church. I don't want to witness your wedding with Ife. Just go ahead. I will just stay at home and pack my things in readiness to move to your house. Today, I will show everyone that I'm your real wife,” Ife said.

“But still, I want to see you in church. You left the hotel too early yesterday's night. Please, come to church and witness the event. I want to be looking at you my real wife as I say my vows to Ife who I don't even love. Please, do this for me. Come to church,” Femi said in his response to Wunmi.

“Alright! If you insist, then I have no option but to come to church. Let me dress up,” Wunmi said. She prepared immediately and joined Femi in church.

Everyone in church was happy for Femi, but they didn't he was just there to pretend.

“These people don't know me. They think I love Ife. I don't love her. I'm just marrying her for my mother. The reverend father should do quick so that I will leave this place,” Femi said in his heart as they were called up to the alter for the wedding.

As the priest was joining Femi and Ife, Femi was busy looking at Wunmi who was seated in the church and smiling.

“This is funny! I'm the real wife. The woman standing there at the altar does not know that she is just there for nothing sake. Femi is my husband and she does not love Ife. When we get home today, everything will scatter,” Wunmi said in her heart. The wedding reception was huge. Femi is from a rich family, so he had all the money he needed to plan a huge event. The wedding was a talk of the town.

Wunmi did not attend the wedding reception. While everyone was at the reception, she went home, packed her things and moved into Femi's house. No one was at home when she got there. However, she has Femi's key. She moved her things into Femi's room and stayed there.

“Everyone is at the wedding reception while the real wife is already at home. When they come home, they will meet me. When Ife comes home, I will show her that I'm the real wife. I have been dating Femi for five years and his mother had the audacity to reject me. Well, thank God that Femi refused to leave me. He married me secretly in the traditional way. What happened in church today did not mean anything to him. He just did it to make his mother happy. When his mother comes home, they will see me. His mother will see me. Ife will see me. I can't wait to see their faces. I can't wait to hear what they will say when Femi finally tells them that he has already married me and that I'm the first wife. I came prepared and I'm ready for the anything. I can't date a man for five years and leave him for another woman to marry. That will not happen. I'm the real wife and I have come to possess my possession. Let them come from the reception and meet me here. I'm ready. This is my husband's house.” Wunmi said. She lay on Femi's bed and made herself to feel at home.
