Kate Hudson Takes Over Basketball Team in Running Point Trailer
Netflix has released the official Running Point trailer, revealing more of the upcoming Kate Hudson-led show about her character taking over control of one of the biggest teams in basketball.
What happens in the Running Point trailer?
The trailer highlights Kate Hudson’s Isla Gordon, a member of a family that owns the Los Angeles Waves, one of the most storied basketball teams. After her brother is involved in a scandal, he appoints Isla as President of the team, and she must prove she’s ready for the task and all it comes with.
Running Point is set to premiere exclusively on Netflix on February 27, 2025.

Alongside Hudson, Running Point also stars Brenda Song, Drew Tarver, Scott MacArthur, Fabrizio Guido, Toby Sandeman, Chet Hanks, Jay Ellis, Max Greenfield, Justin Theroux, Keyla Monterroso Mejia, Roberto Sanchez, Uche Agada, and Dane DiLiegro.
The series comes from the team of Mindy Kaling, Ike Barinholtz, and David Stassen. The 10-episode comedy sees Stassen acting as showrunner.
