Kaduna: PDP inaugurates reconciliation committee
The Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, in Kaduna State, Mr Edward Percy Masha, has inaugurated a 17 member Reconciliation Committee.
Masha charged members of the committee to unite the party. The committee was given two months to complete the assignment.
Speaking while inaugurating the committee, Masha said, “The committee was constituted to reconcile all aggrieved members of the party offended in one way or the other in the course of political activities.”
Masha added that the reconciliation committee members are mandated to visit all the 23 local government areas of Kaduna state to meet and reconcile aggrieved party members.
He expressed hope that the committee would do everything possible to find solution to myriad problems bedevilling the PDP in the state, and appealed to members to join hands with the party leadership to solve internal problems and other challenges.
According to him, the reconciliation committee has been mandated to give periodic reports on its activities.
The Chairman of the Reconciliation Committee, Alhaji Shu’iabu Idris Mikati, in his remarks, expressed appreciation for their appointment.
He assured that by God’s grace, they would do their best in carrying out the task.
Mikati equally appealed to the committee members to dedicate themselves towards the success of the reconciliation effort.
