Blue Lock Season 2 Trailer Previews Anime Series’ U-20 Japan Match
The official Blue Lock Season 2 trailer has finally been released for the upcoming next installment of the hit anime series, based on writer Muneyuki Kaneshiro and illustrator Yusuke Nomura’s manga series of the same name.
The anime series is expected to make its return on October 5. This comes after the theatrical release of Blue Lock the Movie – Episode Nagi, which debuted in U.S. theaters last June.

The video provides fans with a preview of the highly-anticipated match between Blue Lock’s remaining striker candidates and U-20 Japan. It highlights the match’s action-packed sequences as the two teams both show off their unbelievable soccer skills. The trailer also includes snippets of the anime’s new opening theme, titled”Boujaku no CHARISMA” by Unison Square Garden, as well as its new ending theme song, “One” by boy band Snow Man.
Blue Lock begins with 300 high school students who dream of becoming the new ace striker for Japan’s Men’s National Team in the next World Cup tournament. They enter a cutthroat training program where the consequence of elimination is giving up a career in soccer. The anime features the voices of Nobunaga Shimazaki/Bryson Baugus as Nagi, Yuma Uchida/Kamen Casey as Reo, Kazuki Ura/Ricco Fajardo as Isagi, Tasuku Kaito/Drew Breedlove as Bachira, Kazuyuki Okitsu/Matthew Elkins as Zantetsu Tsurugi, Yuki Ono/Alex Hom as Rensuke Kunigami, Soma Saito/Aaron Dismuke as Hyoma Chigiri, Koki Uchiyama/Matt Shipman as Rin Itoshi, Hiroshi Kamiya/Derick Snow as Ego, and Subaru Kimura/Brent Mukai as Ryo Nameoka.
Season 2 hails from chief director Yuji Haibara and director Shintaro Inokawa, with Taku Kishimoto handling the new installment’s series composition. The creative team for Season 2 also includes Kenji Tanabe as the character designer and Jun Murayama providing the music. It is a production by Studio Eightbit.
