When is the Samson release date?
Samson will be available to rent or purchase on all North American digital HD internet, cable, and satellite platforms, as well as on DVD, starting on November 29, 2024.
Described as “a Shakespearean Reservoir Dogs,” the film is a comedic tragedy directed by Ruth Du (Murdered by Morning, The Deadliest Lie) from a screenplay she co-wrote with David Harry Yoon (Fractured, Molly at the Arcadia). The film stars Alice Lee (The Union, My Adventures with Superman) as Emma, Ryan Dance (Eating Cars) as Dale, Will Brittain (Wayward, The Road to Galena) as Drew, and Emilio Garcia-Sanchez (Love in the Time of Corona) as Joe. It is produced by Ashley Cohen, Claire Brooks, and Alice Lee, with Justin Alpern serving as the cinematographer.
“Samson is like that sour piece of candy that has that surprise sweetness in the center, all while being wrapped in a shiny foil of a break-up story,” Du said in a statement. “I love exploring characters who are not what they seem and unraveling relationships that are complex yet universal. I wanted to make a movie about race without making a movie about race.”
