A fan of Davido has voiced his dissatisfaction following the announcement of Tems as the recipient of the Best African Music Performer award at the 67th Grammy Awards.

The event has generated significant debate among Nigerian music enthusiasts, particularly after Davido was overlooked for the accolade, which many felt he rightfully earned.

Instead, the Grammy organizers chose to honor Tems, a decision that has ignited discussions across social media platforms.

One particularly upset fan, known as @dombillionz on TikTok, expressed his discontent on the site, alleging that the awards were influenced by political considerations.

In his passionate commentary, he contended that Davido’s exceptional talent and his substantial contributions to the music scene made him the more worthy candidate for the award.

“See ehh, Grammy e be like say una dey play politics with this thing. Davido suppose win Grammy this year. This guy is good. Una wan tell us say Tems better pass Davido? She sabi sing pass Davido? Abi she sabi baff up pass Davido? We no come trust this una award again. We no trust am. This thing is being politicised,” he lamented
