The Strong Reverend Father, Episode 5
When Brenda left the church premises, she went straight to her hotel room. She sat down on one of the sofas in the hotel room and started weeping. She was not happy at all. Brenda thought she would successfully pour sand into Emmanuel’s garri but she failed. She wanted to completely stop the ordination with her lies but it did not work. Emmanuel won despite the fact that Brenda laid a very strong allegation against him. This was not the outcome Brenda expected. She decided to restrategise and try and trick.
“Let me remove this fake pregnancy. I was thinking I would use it to accomplish my aim of stopping Emmanuel’s progress but it did not work. I bought this fake pregnancy baby bump specifically for this mission. The good thing is that people in the church believed that I was pregnant. No body there knew that the pregnancy is fake. I played my game very well, just that it failed to accomplish the overall aim which was to stop Emmanuel’s ordination,” Brenda said to herself as she continued to weep. She pulled out the fake pregnancy baby bump and held it up as if it had answers to her problems.
After she removed the fake pregnancy bump, her body returned to its normal shape. Brenda happens to be a very beautiful woman. Even in her 30s, she still maintains her astonishing beauty which made Emmanuel to fall for her when they were younger and in the streets. But despite her beauty, Brenda is not truly happy. This is because she has failed to find a husband. She is still not married at the age of 35. All the men that came her way left her once they discovered the kind of dirty life she lived. Many of them said they cannot marry a thief. This is why Brenda refused to leave Emmanuel alone. She has vowed that Emmanuel is the only person who can marry her.
“Emmanuel is the only person who understands me. He is the only man who spent a long time with me in the streets. He understands that I’m not a bad person. He knows that I was pushed into the streets by circumstances I could not control. And now, Emmanuel is a reverend father. He left me in the streets and went to serve God. That was not our plan. Our plan was to get married. Since he left me, I have not been normal. I need him back into my life no matter how long it takes. I will keep chasing after him until I win him back into my life. I don’t even care that he has become a priest. Now that my pregnancy trick has failed, I will go after him with a double strategy. If one fails, one will succeed,” Brenda said to herself. She dragged her box out from the wardrobe and started searching for what she believed would help her nail reverend father Emmanuel. Finally, she found a white bag containing a powdery substance. It’s cokkain.
“I purposely brought this kokkain to Abuja as a plan B. Now that my first plan has failed, I will implement my second plan. I will pay reverend father Emmanuel an important visit. Already, I know the Catholic parish where he is going to hold his thanksgiving mass tomorrow. I will be there very early and I will enter his office and plant this kokkain in the office. After that, I will invite the police to search his office. When they find the kokkain, they will label him a d’rug dealer. That’s when his problem wills tart,” Brenda said in her heart.
Brenda packaged the white bag nicely and put it in her handbag. She then searched her bag again and brought out one of her best gowns. This gown usually brings out her shape very well. Whenever she put on that gown in the streets, men are not able to resist her.
“I’m sure Emmanuel will not be able to resist me when he sees me in this gown. The gown is very short, so it will show my shape and the necessary places a man needs to see. I will not wear anything inside. I will dress like this and enter Emmanuel’s office at the Catholic parish. When he sees me, he will like me and take me back,” Brenda said. The time was already 9pm, so she was tied. She lay on the bed in the hotel room and dozed off.
At exactly 5am, Brenda woke up and prepared for church. She was able to know the Catholic parish where Emmanuel will do his first mass as a priest. She saw the address on the ordination brochure she got the previous day. The address of the parish was also announced during the ordination. So, when she finished taking her bath, Brenda put on her clothes, applied makeup on her face and the head to the church as if she was a serious worshipper. She looks so beautiful after she removed the fake pregnancy. She was shinning like an early morning star. The gown she put on showed all her shape. Men were looking at her as she walked out of the hotel.
“That’s what I want. I want men to look at me. But the most important man I want to trap is reverend father Emmanuel. He is the one I want. I will swim with him wherever he goes,” Brenda said as she flagged a taxi by the roadside. The time was 6:30am and she hopes to meet reverend father Emmanuel in his office before he steps out for the thanksgiving mass which will hold by 8am.
The taxi ride from the hotel to the Catholic parish took only 15 minutes. Brenda stepped down from the taxi and entered the church premises. After Emmanuel’s ordination, he was appointed to assist as a parish priest in the big Catholic parish. He was given an office. Brenda asked around and quickly found the office. Emmanuel is a very punctual person, so he was already in his office when Brenda stepped in around 7am.
“I see that you are no longer pregnant today. You were pregnant yesterday, but you are not pregnant today. That means the pregnancy was fake and you only wanted to stop my ordination. Well, you did not succeed,” father Emmanuel said as soon as he set his eyes on Brenda.
Brenda did not respond immediately. She just sat on one of the chairs opposite father Emmanuel. She deliberately op’ened her legs so that the reverend father will see something good and be trapped. She wants father Emmanuel to see what she is showing him and fall into sin. Everything was visible for Emmanuel’s eyes.
“Let me see how you will resist this temptation,” Brenda said in her heart.
