Read Story: SEASON 1 EPISODE 27
The quiz prep had dwindled into soft conversation. The warm hum of Jess’s dorm lamp lit the room, casting golden light across the two of them on the bed.
Ayla was curled up on one side, legs tucked under her, her fingers picking at the seam of her leggings. Jess sat cross-legged, phone in hand, laughing at a meme she almost shared before a new text flashed across the screen.
Katherine...
Thinking about you, hotness. The way you took control… mmm.
Jess smiled unconsciously, a knowing, low grin. But Ayla saw it. Her eyes flicked down to the screen a second too long, and when Jess looked up, the girl glanced away quickly, cheeks flushed.
“You read that?” Jess asked, playful.
Ayla looked like she wanted to disappear into the pillow. “No! I mean, I saw the name, I didn’t mean to...”
Jess chuckled and held the phone out like it was no big deal. “It’s okay. I’m not hiding it.”
She let a second pass before gently asking, “Are you into girls?”
Ayla blinked. Her lips parted, but no sound came at first. She looked down at her lap, then back up.
“I’ve… always wondered,” she whispered. “I mean, I’ve never done anything. Not really. But… yeah. I think so.”
Jess nodded, letting her feel safe. “I like both. Girls and guys.”
Ayla tilted her head, still blushing. “That girl… Katherine?”
Jess smirked. “Kind of. She’s part of it. I have… sort of a boyfriend.”
Ayla blinked. “Sort of?”
Jess grinned at the wording, rolling back onto one elbow. “We were together. We broke up. Then this summer we found something crazy. Raw. Intense. Honestly, it’s too much to explain all at once.”
Ayla's curiosity peeked through her hesitation. “What do you mean?”
Jess thought for a second, then leaned forward slightly, voice dropping to something more intimate. “He has this friend, Katherine. The one who texted. She opened him up to something wild. And through him, I got pulled in. We’re all kind of in this together now.”
Ayla stared, wide-eyed, absorbing it all like sunlight.
Jess saw it, the curiosity, the excitement underneath the shyness. Katherine’s voice echoed in her head: Let her be comfortable. Give her the stage. She’ll let you in.
So Jess slowed down. She didn’t rush. She just smiled gently and offered more.
“Sometimes,” Jess continued softly, “another woman joins us. It’s rare. But it’s beautiful. Intense. Like your whole body is on fire, but in a good way.”
Ayla swallowed hard, hugging a pillow to her chest now.
“I don’t know if I could ever do that,” she said quietly. “I’m too shy. But… it sounds… fun.”
Jess smiled warmly. “That’s okay. I’m not judging. And I won’t pressure you. You just being curious says a lot.”
Ayla looked at her for a long moment.
“I’ve always had this idea,” she confessed, her voice like a fragile whisper. “Being… I don’t know. Dominated. Not hurt. Just… like, owned. By a couple. Someone strong. Someone soft. Both.”
Jess felt the tingle shoot through her. She didn’t move, just listened.
“No one knows that,” Ayla added. “Not even Eric.”
“Eric?” Jess asked.
“My boyfriend. Well… he’s sweet. Nerdy. We’ve been together a while. But… I’ve never told him. I don’t think he’d understand.”
Jess nodded gently. “Secrets don’t make you bad. They just mean you’re still figuring it out.”
Ayla’s eyes softened, relieved even.
Jess reached over and squeezed her hand.
“I think you’re brave for saying it at all.”
Ayla smiled down, heart thudding.
Jess shared one more story, a light one from the summer. Just enough detail to make Ayla blush and giggle, but nothing that would scare her.
And that’s how the night ended, not with sex, but with something far more dangerous: trust, interest, and a growing tension neither could name yet.
