The Childless Wife Episode Two

Lolade has never done this kind of thing before. Her husband is the only man who has ever touched her. Even when she was single, no man touched her. After she got married, she has never dreamt or thought of cheating on her husband. But childlessness has pushed her to the wall and she was willing to try anything just to get one baby. She was willing to sacrifice her bride to get one child. She reasoned that getting just one child will restore her dignity in her husband's house. But even as she lay on the bed waiting for the pastor to remove his clothes, she was crying.

"I never knew it would come to this point where I will allow another man to get me pregnant instead of my husband. I never knew I will sacrifice my pride just to get a child. I didn't know I will be childless. Childlessness has pushed me to the wall. I have endured so much shame to the extend that I'm no longer able to think properly or to differentiate between what is right and what is wrong. I can seen that what this man is about to do to me is wrong. But I will still allow him to do it if it will be the solution to my problem. If the man can get me pregnant, then I'm will to allow him to do it." Lolade said tearfully. She was crying. When the pastor returned to the bed to join her, he saw tears rolling down her eyes.

"Why are you crying? This should be a thing of joy to you. I told you it is God that told me to do it. You should not be crying. You should be happy that a holy man of God is about to touch you. Don't you know that my body is holy? If I touch you, you too will become holy and a baby will be planted in your womb. It has worked for a lot of women. Please, stop crying let us enjoy this wonderful moment." The pastor said with a mocking smile.

"Sorry sir. I'm just afraid that this might not

work. What if my husband finds out? Are you sure it will work? Are you sure you can get me pregnant? I'm just scared about what would be the outcome if I get pregnant and my husband finds out that the baby does not belong to him. He will chase me out of the house and my situation will become worse. I don't want to lose my husband. He is a good man. He has been supporting me since I found myself in this difficult situation. It feels so bad to pin a baby on an innocent man. What if he finds out?"

Lolade asked tearfully. She grabbed the white bedsheet and cleaned her eyes. The pastor was not ready to give up on his latest catch, so he did everything possible to convince Lolade to allow him to do the job.

"Why are you talking as if I don't know what I'm saying? This is the job I do. The church is just a means to attract customers to my main job which is to help barren women to get children. I can even count the wives of prominent women in this country who I got pregnant when their husbands couldn't do it. Some of them came with their husbands and their husbands supported the idea. Some of them even paid me to do the job. I have a lot of experience in this job. Just calm down and allow me to give you children. God has been doing wonders through me. Why did you think your friend brought you here? It's because I did the same thing for her. Please, unlock your engine room let us start.

Very soon, another woman will come and I don't want to waste all the time I have with you." The pastor said sarcastically. Lolade had no option but to allow him. As he was doing it, Lolade was weeping sorrowfully. Her heart was crying and the tears could be seen in her eyes. When they were done, she hurried to her car and started driving home. She did not say a word to her friend.

When she got home, she went into her room, locked the door and started weeping. She wept for the rest of the day. She just managed to come out in the evening to cook food for her husband. Even when her husband asked her why she was sad, she said she was having headache. She knew it was a lie. The real reason for her sadness was what the pastor did to her earlier in the day. But she cannot mention it to her husband.

The next morning after her husband went to work, Lolade received a call from the pastor.

"Are you not coming today?" The pastor asked over the phone. Lolade was surprised. She was thinking it was just once.

"I thought it was just once that we have to do it and I will get pregnant. I don't think I will have to come today. You said it was God who said you should do it, then it means once is okay for me to get pregnant." Lolade tells the pastor.

"Lolade why are you talking like a child? It is not only once. We have to keep doing it. We don't know which day your body is ready for pregnancy. That is why we must keep doing it for three months until we are sure that the seed has been planted. Once you get pregnant, I promise you that we will stop. Please, come, I'm waiting for you. I really enjoyed it yesterday and I cannot wait to see you again." The pastor said.

Lolade didn't expect this. She didn't know if she should go or not.
