The Twin Pregnancy Episode Nine

The son of the president got to hear about Nene's story and he became interested in her. His name is Fredo. What drew his attention more was the fact that he heard Nene was a single mother. He began to wonder why such a hardworking and beautiful woman lacked a husband. Fredo decided to pay Nene a visit at her house.

Nene was already at home with her children, dedicating her time to caring for them properly. Nene has not been to her shop since she came back from the hospital. Her mother has arrived from the village to help her care for the children while she recovered fully from the pain of childbirth.

One of the things Nene loved the most was breastfeeding the four children. She takes time to breastfeed each of them until the four of them are fully fed. She had just finished feeding the children when she heard blaring hons and loud sirens close to the house. She managed to stand up from her seat and then went to the window to peep to see who it was that was generating the whole noise.

Nene was able to see a long convoy of cars, but

she did not know the important person who was

in any of the vehicles that would warrant such a

loud noise. However, she knew that whoever it

was was coming to visit her because she has

received quite a number of high profiled

persons since she gave birth and returned to her

home. Nene went back to sit down and wait for

who was coming.

Soon after, there was a knock at the door. It was Nene's mother who went to open it. Surprisingly, it was Roland who was standing at the door step with his bag. Roland did not wait to be invited into the house as he rushed in as if he was the man of the house. Nene was surprised to see Roland.

"So you gave birth to our children and you didn't think it was wise to call me and tell me? What kind of a woman are you? Have you forgotten I'm the father of the children? Even if you forgot, are there no elders who could have reminded you of the right thing to do? I hope you have not named the babies? It is the responsibility of me the father to give the four children the names I want. That is what our tradition says." Roland said. As he was talking, Nene said absolutely nothing. She was just watching Roland like a piece of rag dragged in by a dog.

"Who is this man?" Nene's mother asked with surprise on her face. She was tucking the babies into bed as Roland was talking.

"Don't mind him mama. He is a no body and he doesn't worth your attention. Just behave as if it's only me and you that are here." Nene responded without even looking at Roland or behaving as if she had noticed his presence.

Roland wanted to start talking harshly again but there was a knock at the door which interrupted him. Everyone in the room turned to the door to see who it was this time. When the door swung open, it was Fredo, the president's son who walked into the room.

Nene doesn't know that Fredo was the son of the president, but she stood up to welcome him and his friends with respect.

"You are welcome to my humble home sir. I'm Nene and this is my mother." Nene said respectfully. Roland was sad that Nene did not introduce him as the father of the quadruplets.

"So you did not introduce me? I was the one who got you pregnant and successfully planted four children in your womb at once. Don't I deserve introduction to the son of the president? Without me, would you have been able to have four babies at once? I'm the father of the children and I must be given all the respect I deserve." Roland said even before Fredo could respond to the introduction by Nene.

"So you are now sleeping around with the president's son? He has come to take over my children right? He will not succeed. Let me tell you my dear Nene, my family also has money. My family is even richer than the president. This man is just here to deceive you. Stop accepting gifts from the president and other politicians. You are embarrassing my family. The children belong to me and my family has the money to take good care of them." Roland said. The president's son, Fredo was alarmed by the things Roland was saying. The security details attached to Fredo immediately arrested Roland and escorted him out of the compound and pushed him into the streets.

"How are your babies doing Nene? I have heard so much about you and I decided to come here and see things for myself. Your babies are super cute and I must also confess you are a strong woman." Fredo tells Nene.

"Thanks for coming to visit us. We are blessed to have the presence of the son of the president. Please, I'm so sorry about the embarrassment caused by the man who was escorted out of the house. Please, forgive him and don't take it to heart. He doesn't know what he is doing. He is an irresponsible man." Nene tells the president's son and then offered him as seat.

"I understand. I'm not sad over anything. How can I be sitting in the presence of these lovely quadruplets and be sad? That's impossible." Fredo said.

Fredo is a chatty person just like Nene. He sat there and they talked for a long time before he decided it was time to go.

"I have a little gift for you and your children. Please, it's very small but you can at least use it to buy Pampers for the children." Fredo said as he gives Nene a large envelope containing N5 million.

"Goodbye to you Nene. Please can I visit you again?" Fredo asked.

"Absolutely! You can visit me anytime you want. I'm so grateful for the gift you gave us. May the good Lord replenish your pockets." Nene was kneeling down as she thanked Fredo.

"It's fine Nene. I will find time and visit you and your babies again." Fredo said as they leave the house. Immediately after Fredo left, Roland returned to the house.
