The Twin Pregnancy Episode Seven

After Nene went into labour, she was immediately rushed to the hospital by neighbours who called an Uber taxi for her. But as they were driving to the hospital, the labour became very intense such that Nene could not bear the pain anymore. Everyone in the taxi told her to hold on a little more, that they would soon get to the hospital but she was crying and shouting due to the pain she was feeling.

The worse that happened was that the taxi was

caught up in traffic and the movement was very

slow. It was as if something happened in town

and every car owner came out with their cars.

The road to the hospital was filled with cars

with drivers looking for where to put their tires. It

became clear that the driver of Nene's Uber taxi

would have to join the traffic and move his car

in slow motions.

When Nene could no longer bear the pain, he started pushing on her own. Her water had already broken and she felt like the two babies were struggling to come out. She started pushing when she felt their movements in her belly. The kids had become restless and she knew she was entering an emergency situation.

"I cannot wait to get to the hospital. I'm going to push out the babies myself. If I wait too long, the babies might suffocate and I don't want such a thing to happen to them. I can feel them trying to come out." Nene said. The vehicle she was in was still holed up in the meandering 'hold-up. Those in the vehicle with her were surprised when they heard her pushing. They had no option than to rush to help her. They held her hands and she pushed on her own.

As the driver continued to try to find his way through the traffic, Nene paid no attention to the road but was more focused on safely delivering her babies.

"I believe I can do this. I can push out these babies. I just need to try a little bit harder. I know this will not be a tea party but nothing is impossible to them that believe." Nene said in her heart as she summoned strength and started pushing again. After a few more efforts, she felt the head of the first baby as it was coming out gradually. She gave it another push and the first child, a boy was out. One of the neighbours helping her brought out a blanket and wrapped the baby boy.

"One is out, one more to go." Nene said in her heart. She was too tired to look in the direction of the first baby who was already out in the world. But her heart was happy and motivated when she heard the cries of the first boy.

"Very soon, I will hear the cries of the second one too. It is just a matter of time and believing in myself. I will push again." Nene said to herself after resting for a while. She started pushing again. The driver is still nowhere near the hospital. In fact, the traffic jam had become worse and they had literally come to a halt.

But Nene, being a strong woman knew that the lives of her babies were now in her hands. She knew if she gives up, they would die. So she was prepared to give it every power in her body. She had started feeling the head of the second baby. She knew it would be out soon. She gave it one final powerful push and the child was out. The second child was a baby girl.

After pushing out the second baby, Nene lay there powerless and tired. She felt as if someone had taken all the energy in her body. She was not able to stand or talk in a loud.

voice. But she was surprised that after the two babies came out, she started feeling some more movements in her belly.

"What is happening? What is this movement that I'm feeling? I thought they told me I was going to have twins? Is there any other baby in my womb?" Nene asked herself when the movement became intense and increased her pain. She started feeling as if she was in labour all over again. It got to a point where she decided to start pushing because she felt like another baby was trying to come out.

"What is going on? Well, whatever it is, I'm ready and strong to face the challenge and completely overcome." Nene said to herself as she started pushing again. Within a short while, a third baby, a baby girl came out. Everyone in the Uber taxi was surprised to see that there was a third child. But Nene could barely hear the cries of the babies anymore. She was so tired that she felt she was dead. The pushing and everything had taken all her energy and all the parts of her body were weak and vegetative.

Despite her tiredness, she could still feel some more movements in her belly as if there was a fourth child. At this point, she could no longer reason properly because all her energy and thinking faculties were gone due to weakness and tiredness. But the strength of a mother made her know that there was a fourth child in her womb battling to come out like the others. Nene managed to take a deep breath and then gave a final push that seemed impossible but which worked perfectly for her. The fourth baby came out with speed as if it was thrown from a waterfall.

"I'm done. I hope there is no fifth baby? Because there is nothing else I can do." Nene said as she lay there motionless, closed her eyes, completely worn out. The neighbours taking care of her took the four babies and wrapped them. They were two boys and two girls. They were shocked that they have four babies in their hands instead of two as predicted by Nene's ultrasound. But they became afraid because Nene was not talking or moving anymore and they were still in traffic. Her eyes were closed and she was motionless.

"Jesus help us! I hope Nene is not dead?" One of them asked.
