Joseph Ayo Babalola University, Ikeji-Arakeji, is a faith-based Private University. The University hereby invites applications from suitably qualified candidates for the position of Registrar.


THE POSITION

The Registrar is the Chief Administrative Officer of the University and the Head of the Registry. The Registrar is responsible to the Vice Chancellor for the day-to-day administration of the University. The Registrar is also the Secretary to the Board of Trustees, Governing Council, Senate, Congregation, and Convocation.

THE PERSON

I. The candidate must possess vast knowledge of University administration and be transparent, resourceful, and professional.

METHOD OF APPLICATION

Candidates are required to submit their Application, Curriculum Vitae, and all other necessary credentials as attachments. The Curriculum Vitae should be well arranged using the following format:

iv. The candidate must be a Christian, preferably of Christ Apostolic Church, Nigeria and Overseas denomination, with a proven record of visionary leadership, innovation, and excellent communication skills.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION

Applicants must possess a good University degree not below second.

class lower division from a recognized University, and a Master's degree in relevant discipline.

ii. The applicant must not be below the rank of Deputy Registrar with at least five years standing.

iii. The applicant must have a minimum of fifteen (15) years of relevant post-graduation experience in University administration or relevant institution.

iv. The applicant must not be older than 60 years of age as at the time of assumption of duty.

The application must include a candidate's statement of Vision and Mission for the University Registry for the next five years in not more than 1,000 words.

To accompany the application, referees should be contacted by each candidate to provide signed copies of their recommendation letter, attesting to the academic and managerial abilities as well as moral character of the candidate.

iii. Candidates are requested to submit fifteen (15) hard copies of their applications and credentials under confidential cover in a sealed envelope marked "Post of Registrar, JABU" to the Office of the Registrar, and the soft copy submitted to employment@jabu.edu.ng

Only shortlisted candidates will be contacted for interview.

iv. SUBMISSION

v. The applicant must be a registered member of ANUPA, and other All applications should be addressed to relevant professional bodies such as: CIPM, NIM, etc.

vi. The applicant must be digitally compliant, up-to-date in the use of information and communication technology and knowledgeable in Microsoft office suite.

TERMS AND CONDITIONS OF SERVICE

The successful candidate will hold office for a single term of five (5) years only, or the terms and conditions that may be specified in the letter or memorandum of appointment.
