The National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) Directorate Headquarters has officially announced the commencement dates for the 2026 Batch ‘A’ Stream II Orientation Course. The directive, issued via an official circular, confirms that the program will hold concurrently across the 36 States of the Federation and the Federal Capital Territory (FCT).


According to the circular signed by Nura Umar, Director of PRS, on behalf of the Director-General, the orientation exercise is designed to integrate prospective corps members into the national service scheme through a series of physical and leadership training activities.


Key Orientation Dates:

Commencement: Wednesday, 22nd April, 2026

Registration Window: Wednesday, 22nd April – Friday, 24th April, 2026

Registration Cut-Off: Midnight, Friday, 24th April, 2026

Swearing-in Ceremony: Friday, 24th April, 2026

Closing Ceremony: Tuesday, 12th May, 2026

The management emphasizes that the registration portal and camp gates will close promptly at midnight on April 24th. All Prospective Corps Members (PCMs) are advised to report to their designated camps on the commencement date to ensure they complete their documentation within the stipulated timeframe.

State and FCT Coordinators have been mandated to ensure all facilities are ready to receive the incoming stream. PCMs are further encouraged to bring all required original credentials and medical certificates as specified in their call-up letters.
