Police recover stolen vehicle conveying vandalized items in Delta

Operatives of the Delta State Police Command have recovered a stolen vehicle conveying vandalized items in Sapele.

Police Public Relations Officer,.SP Bright Edafe, disclosed the development in a statement on Thursday.

“On 30 March 2026 at about 1330hrs, a report was received at Sapele Division from a concerned citizen who alleged that he sighted a Toyota Sienna bus conveying suspected vandalised items, including iron cuts and a gas cylinder.

“Acting on the information, a patrol team under the supervision of the Divisional Police Officer was deployed to the scene.

“On sighting the police, the hoodlums abandoned the vehicle and fled into a nearby bush.

“The vehicle was recovered and towed to the station. Preliminary investigation has commenced, while efforts are ongoing to track down and arrest the fleeing suspects,” the statement read.
