UNIBEN notice on payment of school charges, 2025/2026

The Management of the University of Benin has observed with dismay that most Diploma Students are yet to pay their School Charges since the migration of all students' records to the new Portal, for the 2025/2026 academic session.

Consequently, all students, especially those in the various Diploma Programmes, are expected to access the new portal via the link: https://portal.uniben.edu/ to pay their school charges immediately. All other students who are yet to pay their school charges, are equally advised to do so.

The guidelines for accessing students' records and making payments on the New Portal, are as follows: access the portal link: https://portal.uniben.edu/;

2. log in with your Student ID as your User ID and your Matriculation Number as your Password, if you are accessing the Portal for the first time, otherwise use your usual log in parameters;

3. after a successful log in, you can change your password to secure your record by clicking on your profile and then select "Change Password."

4. to pay your School Charges, click on the PAYMENT Menu and under the dropdown labeled "select a payment type," select "School Charges"; and

5. click the "PROCESS PAYMENT" button and follow the instructions of the REMITA Payment Gateway to complete your payment.

Information about other academic activities will be duly communicated through the Dashboard of the new Portal, therefore, students are encouraged to access the portal regularly.
