Afrobeats star Ahmed Ololade, popularly known as Asake, has shared details about his relationship with his father, making it clear that their bond remains strong despite distance.

Speaking in an interview with well-known YouTuber Korty EO, the singer explained that not living together or seeing his father regularly has not affected how he feels.

“The love is still the same between me and my dad, even if I don’t live with him or see him every day,” he said.

His comments come weeks after reports claimed he surprised both his parents with luxury cars during Ramadan, even amid rumours of a strained relationship with his father linked to alleged absence while he was growing up.

Despite the past, Asake maintained that his love for his father is unconditional and cannot be changed by circumstances.

“Even if he points a gun at me, till eternity he will always be my dad, and I will still show him the same love,” he added.

His remarks have since drawn mixed reactions online, with some fans praising his maturity and forgiveness, while others questioned the intensity of the example he used.
