“I Don’t Even Know Him”- King Mitchy Denies Knowing Man Accusing Her Of Staging Fake Giveaways

Nigerian social media personality Mukoro Michelle, widely known as King Mitchy, has responded to fresh allegations after a man surfaced online claiming he once worked as her cameraman and accusing her of faking giveaway gestures.

The controversy follows an earlier incident on February 28, 2026, when Mitchy became a trending topic after a statement allegedly posted by her team claimed she had ingested a substance identified as hypo and later passed away in hospital. The post came amid her heated online clash with activist Martins Vincent Otse, popularly known as VeryDarkMan. She later debunked the reports of her death, insisting she was alive and would not be silenced by critics.

Not long after, a man appeared online alleging that he had worked with her in 2024 before being dismissed. He claimed that during filmed charity giveaways, Mitchy would publicly announce large sums such as ₦300,000, ₦500,000, or even ₦1,000,000, but allegedly retrieved the bulk of the money once recording stopped, leaving beneficiaries with only ₦20,000. According to him, when he questioned the practice, she reportedly asked how she would cover her expenses, including paying him, if she gave out such large amounts.

In an emotional response, Mitchy firmly denied the accusations and stated she had never met the individual making the claims. She described the allegations as fabricated and aimed at damaging her reputation.

She further clarified that her sister previously handled her videography and is currently studying at Lagos State University in Epe, Lagos. Mitchy added that she now works with a different female videographer, whom she featured in her response video.

“Depression is real. I just saw a post about a boy that said I used to give people money and collect it. How would I give someone money and then take it back?” she said.

She also acknowledged the emotional strain caused by the accusations and the ongoing drama surrounding her dispute with VeryDarkMan, suggesting that the situation has significantly affected her mental well-being.
