Netizens Slams Sophia Momodu As She Denies Throwing Shade At Chioma
Davido’s baby mama, Sophia Momodu, has come under heavy criticism online following her recent comments about moving on from the music star.
A few weeks earlier, the mother of one had shared a post hinting that she had found love again after her past relationship with Davido. In the message, she openly expressed affection for her supposed partner and mentioned how much she missed him.
Shortly after, Davido posted a video proudly showing off his wife’s kitchen. Amid reactions to the clip, a social media user praised Sophia while seemingly throwing subtle shade. Sophia reposted the comment, which sparked backlash, with some accusing her of indirectly targeting Chioma Rowland.
Addressing the controversy, Sophia stated that she has been focused on her own happiness since 2025 and has completely moved on. She emphasized that her priority is her daughter, Imade, who she said is thriving, adding that her child’s well-being is what truly matters to her.
She also urged what she described as overzealous fans to let go of the past, insisting that she has already done so. According to her, she has been traveling frequently and does not spend much time online, except when making occasional posts.
Sophia further explained that she had no hidden motive when she reposted the fan’s comment. She claimed she was unaware of any underlying message tied to kitchen items and only shared the remark innocently before deleting it once she sensed negative intentions behind it. She maintained that no one can drag her back to a chapter of her life she closed in 2025.
Despite her explanation, many social media users questioned the timeline she provided, noting that Davido had long moved on and is now married to Chioma.
