Northwest University bans Sign-out activities on campus
The University Management has received reports on intended immoral behavior by students during graduation festivities. It has been observed that these activities often descend into rowdiness, public nuisance, and conduct that undermines the academic integrity of this institution.
2. In light of the above, the Management hereby issues the following directives with immediate effect:
i. Ban on Signing-Out Ceremonies: All forms of "signing-out" celebrations, including the staining of clothes with markers, loud processions, and parties on campus, are strictly prohibited.
ii. Restriction on Senate Building: The Senate Building is an administrative zone and is henceforth off-limits for student photography. Students are directed to use designated recreational areas for their commemorative pictures.
iii. Use of Academic Gowns: The use of Academic Gowns for unofficial photography or private "signing-out" stunts is banned. Gowns are strictly reserved for official Convocation/Matriculation ceremonies
3. Accordingly, all Graduands are advised to be aware that any student found violating these directives will face disciplinary action, which may include the withholding of final results.
4. Students are encouraged to celebrate their achievements with dignity and in accordance with the university's code of conduct.
