UAST students now eligible for NELFUND financial support

In a significant boost for students, the University of Agriculture, Science and Technology (UAST), Ihugh, has announced its integration into the National Education Loan Fund (NELFUND) platform.

The development, confirmed in a statement by the Pioneer Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Qrisstuberg Amua, allows the university's pioneer learners to apply for financial support to cover school charges and approved upkeep allowances. The university has already uploaded the necessary student data to the NELFUND portal.

Prof. Amua attributed this achievement to the commitment of the university's Visitor and Executive Governor of Benue State, Rev. Fr. Dr. Hyacinth Iormem Alia, whose goal is to remove financial barriers and ensure academic continuity without compromising excellence.

Eligible learners are urged to visit the official NELFUND portal at https://portal.nelf.gov.ng/ to complete their applications. The deadline for submission is set for 27th February 2026.

The university administration has encouraged students who have successfully completed the process to assist their colleagues who may require guidance. This integration underscores UAST Ihugh's dedication to advancing scholarship, innovation, and productivity by supporting its student body.
