BUK adjusts working hours for 2026 Ramadan

Staff and students of Bayero University, Kano (BUK) have been informed of an adjustment to the university's working hours in observance of the upcoming Ramadan period.

According to a circular issued on Wednesday, 18th February 2026, which corresponds to the 1st day of Ramadan 1446AH, offices will close early for the duration of the holy month.

From today until the end of the fasting period, university offices will close at 3:00 pm from Mondays to Thursdays. On Fridays, working hours will conclude at 1:00 pm as usual.

Additionally, the memorandum stated that no refreshments will be served during official meetings for the fasting period.

The Vice-Chancellor, Professor Haruna Musa, fsi, extended his goodwill to the university community, wishing everyone a blissful Ramadan and the blessings of Allah.
