Nuhu Bamalli Polytechnic dissolves 2024/2025 SUG executives, appoints caretaker committee

The Students Affairs Unit of Nuhu Bamalli Polytechnic has officially announced the dissolution of the 2024/2025 Students’ Union Government (SUG) Executive Council with immediate effect.

According to a statement issued on Tuesday, February 18, 2026, the decision was taken following the approval of the Rector of the Polytechnic.

Caretaker Committee to Oversee Union Affairs

In the wake of the dissolution, a Caretaker Committee has been constituted to manage and oversee the affairs of the Students’ Union pending the conduct of fresh elections.

The institution stated that the full composition of the Caretaker Committee will be officially announced within seventy-two (72) hours.

Mandatory Meeting for School Association Leaders

The Students Affairs Unit has also called for an urgent and mandatory meeting involving all Presidents and Chairmen of faculty-based School Associations.

The meeting is scheduled to discuss interim leadership arrangements as well as student welfare matters.
