“Try Everything To Win Your In-Laws’ Heart”- Omotola Jalade Ekeinde Advises Spouses

Veteran Nollywood star Omotola Jalade Ekeinde has sparked online conversations after sharing her thoughts on dealing with in-laws who may not immediately accept you.

During a recent chat with TVC host Morayo Afolabi Brown, Omotola encouraged spouses to put in sincere effort to build a positive relationship with their in-laws.

She highlighted that patience, empathy, and consistent attempts can help overcome misunderstandings and foster family harmony.

The actress also noted that marriage is already challenging, and tension with in-laws can make the experience even more difficult.

She added that lacking support from extended family can place additional strain on couples navigating married life.

In her words;

“I will advise that if the families of the spouse don’t like you, try everything you possibly can to make them understand you. But there are some parents that are hell-bent on not liking you regardless of what you do, they already have a prejudice. Marriage is already hard, and starting without love and support only makes the journey tougher.”
