UNIUYO Freshers’ Olympics Closing Ceremony Postponed

The University of Uyo Students’ Union has announced the postponement of the Uniuyo Freshers’ Olympics Closing Ceremony, originally scheduled to take place on Friday, 13th February, 2026, at the University Mini Stadium.

In an official statement signed by the Students’ Union Director of Sports, Comr. Abasifreke Job, the postponement was described as a necessary step taken after careful consideration of the prevailing circumstances within the period.

While acknowledging the excitement and anticipation surrounding the event, the statement extended apologies to the student community for any inconvenience caused. It further assured that a new date for the ceremony would be communicated in due course.
