SLU notice to students on Jigawa State Scholarship Board screening exercise

The management of Sule Lamido University, Kafin Hausa, has issued a formal notification regarding an upcoming screening exercise organized by the Jigawa State Scholarship Board.

In a circular dated 3rd February 2026 and signed by the Acting Academic Secretary, Iziddin Ibrahim, the university directed all fresh Level 100 and 200 students of Jigawa State origin to attend a mandatory verification exercise.

The screening is aimed at confirming the indigeneity of eligible students and is scheduled to hold over a three-day period:

. Date: Tuesday, 10th to Thursday, 12th February 2026

· Time: 10:00 am daily

· Venue: Hall B, Counselling and Human Development Centre, SLU Kafin Hausa

The exercise is part of the state government’s effort to streamline scholarship and educational support schemes for indigenous students in tertiary institutions.

All affected students are advised to attend promptly with relevant documents to confirm their state of origin.
