“God Is Forgiving, Yet He Created Hell” – Pastor Tobi Adegboyega Speaks on Sin and Heaven
Controversial Nigerian pastor, Tobi Adegboyega, has sparked fresh reactions online following a thought-provoking message about forgiveness, heaven, and human nature.
Speaking in a recent sermon that has since gone viral, the UK-based cleric questioned common assumptions about salvation and the idea of guaranteed entry into heaven. He noted that while God is forgiving, the existence of hell raises serious questions about how believers live after receiving forgiveness.
“Our God is a forgiving God, yet He created hell,” Adegboyega said.
He went on to suggest that forgiveness alone does not automatically guarantee heaven, arguing that human beings are still vulnerable to sin after being forgiven.
“Those of you who think you’re going to heaven: the only way to make it to heaven is to be forgiven and then die immediately because it’s almost like a setup. You’re forgiven, but you still have maybe 50 years to live,” he stated.
The pastor further questioned how believers can realistically avoid sinning again over the course of their lives, given human weaknesses and daily temptations.
“How do you avoid sinning again in the future?” he asked.
