“Irreplaceable Void”- Friend Shares Final Messages From Late Singer Ifunanya Nwangene
A friend of late Nigerian singer Ifunanya Nwangene has shared touching details of their last conversation before her tragic death.
The 26-year-old vocalist passed away on January 31, 2026, after being bitten by a snake in her Abuja residence.
Matthew Samson Abah, who identified himself as a friend on Facebook, described Ifunanya’s death as leaving an “irreplaceable void” in his heart. He also shared her final advice:
“A friend told me. If God puts a thought in your head, don’t hold back. I regret going to the morgue and seeing you embalmed.”
He recounted their last chat, in which he urged her to fumigate her room:
“Please call me when you can or I will call you anyways. I’m so sorry Ify. You need to fumigate your room. Ify, I’m still coming to check chats, please call me.”
