The Students’ Union Government (SUG) of Rivers State University (RSU) has issued an urgent directive to the student body, advising an immediate suspension of all portal-related payments.

​The announcement comes in response to widespread "portal discrepancies" and technical glitches that have caused significant confusion and frustration among students attempting to settle school fees and other charges.

​Key Highlights of the SUG Directive

​Payment Suspension: In a bold move, the Union has instructed all students to halt all payments on the university portal until the current technical issues are fully rectified and clarified by the management.

​Management Engagement: SUG President, Comr. Martins Marvellous Chukwumeka, confirmed that the executive council has consulted with the ICTC Director and officially escalated the matter to the Vice-Chancellor.

​Call for Calm: The Union leadership urged the student body to maintain "absolute calm and decorum," assuring them that their frustrations are being addressed at the highest level of university administration.

​Unity Against Misinformation: Students were advised to stay united and ignore unverified information that could cause panic, emphasizing that the Union is actively monitoring the situation.
