EPL: Why Arsenal lost 3-2 to Man Utd – Wenger
Legendary Arsenal manager, Arsene Wenger said the team was too eager during their 3-2 loss to Manchester United in the Premier League on Sunday.
After Mikel Merino scored to make it 2-2 for the Gunners, substitute Matheus Cunha scored the winning goal for United.
Wenger praised Michael Carrick for his excellent game plan against Arsenal.
He explained, “I think Arsenal wanted to win so badly that they didn’t show enough patience in their play and were too quick with the ball.
“On the other hand, I think Carrick found the right balance between strong defense and good technical play.”
Wins for Manchester City and Aston Villa, mean Arsenal are now four points clear at the top of the table.
