FUTMINNA announces 34th Convocation ceremony and 43rd founders' day

The Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Faruk Adamu Kuta, on behalf of Council, Senate, Staff and Students of the Federal University of Technology, Minna, cordially invites the public to the University's 34th Convocation Ceremony of 2024/2025 Academic Session and 43rd Founders' Day for the conferment of various categories of Degrees, Diplomas and award of prizes.

Convocation Ceremony and Founders' Day, Conferment of Degrees, Postgraduate Diplomas, Higher Degrees and Present of Prizes

Venue: Suleimanu Kumo Convocation Square, Main Campus, Kwano

Time: 10:00 a.m.

INFORMATION TO GRADUANDS

i. All payments are to be made into the Federal University of Technology, Minna TSA Account (No. 0190472161017) with the Central Bank of Nigeria. For details visit: www.futminna.edu.ng

ii. Graduands must be physically present at the ceremony to receive their certificates and prizes as the case may be.

iii. Graduands are expected to present the following items to enable them collect their original certificates immediately after the Convocation Ceremony:

a. The original statement of results earlier issued to them by the University where applicable.

b. Final year clearance form duly signed by all concerned.

c. Final year identity card or letter of identification from Student Affairs Division.

iv. Invitation cards and Academic gowns are to be collected from Secretaries of the respective Schools of the Graduands from Monday, 26th January, 2026.

v. Issued Academic Gowns must be returned to the School Secretaries immediately after the ceremony before the collection of original certificates.

vi. There will be a surcharge for any damaged Academic Gown.

SECURITY

Graduands and the general public should please note the following:

1. University Security personnel will direct guests to the designated parking lots.

2. Luggage and bags are not allowed into the Convocation Square Arena.

Photographers, hawkers and vendors of any item are to pay the sum of N500.00 (five hundred Naira) only for registration. Also, they are to note that they will not be allowed into the convocation square.

NOTE: Graduands will not be allowed into the Convocation Square after 10:30 a.m.
