UNICROSS notice to NELFUND beneficiaries on verification and receipt collection

The University of Cross River State (UNICROSS) has issued an internal circular reminding students who benefited from the Federal Government NELFUND Loan Scheme to complete their loan verification and school fee receipt collection.

According to the circular dated 9th January, 2026, and signed by the University Bursar, Mr. Wilson Anyiom, MSc, CCA, some students’ NELFUND loan applications have already been approved and disbursements made. However, the University observed that several beneficiaries are either unaware of their loan approval or do not know the appropriate steps to verify their loan status and obtain their school fee payment receipts.

To address this, all concerned students have been directed to proceed to the ICT Unit of the Directorate of Information and Communication Technology (DICT) to verify their loan status and collect their official school fee receipts.

The management emphasized that only students who comply with the directives in the circular will have their loan disbursement validated by the University and their names included on the official list of students who have paid their school fees.

Students are therefore advised to act promptly and comply accordingly.
