FUT Babura announces Christmas and New Year holiday

The Federal University of Technology, Babura (FUTB), Jigawa State, has announced public holidays in line with the Federal Government’s declaration for the 2025 Christmas and 2026 New Year celebrations.

In an internal memo issued by the Office of the Registrar and dated December 22, 2025, the Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Sabo Ibrahim B/Kudu, approved Thursday, December 25; Friday, December 26, 2025; and Thursday, January 1, 2026 as work-free days for staff and students of the University.

The memo, addressed to all staff and students, noted that the holidays were granted on behalf of the University Management in observance of the festive period. However, staff on essential duties are expected to report to their duty posts as scheduled.

The Vice-Chancellor, on behalf of the University Council and Management, also extended goodwill messages, wishing all Christian staff and students a Merry Christmas and a prosperous New Year in advance.
