ABU announces opening of undergraduate accommodation portal, 2025/2026

The Management of Ahmadu Bello University (ABU), Zaria, has officially announced the schedule for opening its undergraduate accommodation reservation portal for the 2025/2026 Academic Session.

According to a special bulletin signed by the Accommodation Officer for the Dean of the Student Affairs Division, the portal will be opened in two phases.

The schedule is as follows:

· For Newly Admitted Students: Monday, 22nd December, 2025.

· For Returning Students: Monday, 5th January, 2026.

Eligible students are directed to visit the university's registration portal at https://portal.abu.edu.ng to make their bedspace reservations.

The bulletin outlined several key reminders for all students seeking accommodation:

1. Access to the accommodation portal is strictly dependent on the completion of school fees payment and course registration for the session.

2. Allocation of cleared bedspaces will be on a first-come, first-served basis after payment and physical documentation with Hall Administrators.

3. The university has prohibited all forms of accommodation racketeering, including the buying, selling, or exchange of bedspaces. Violators will face sanctions as detailed in the Hall Residency Form.

4. Students are urged to use electricity and other university properties responsibly. Misuse or damage will attract surcharges.

5. Requests for bedspace allocation from 300 Level students will be considered only if free spaces remain, a few weeks after the portal opens.

6. All student residents must undertake a mandatory clearance with Hall Administrators at the end of the academic session.

The Accommodation Portal opening is part of the university's mission to provide high-level human capacity and meet the needs of its student population.
