UNIPORT announces Christmas and New Year Break

The University of Port Harcourt (UNIPORT) has announced the closure of the institution for the 2025 Christmas and New Year break.

This was contained in a memorandum issued by the Office of the Registrar and addressed to the University Community, dated 17th December, 2025, with reference number UPH/REG/30.

According to the memorandum, the University will close on Thursday, 18th December, 2025, and will resume academic and administrative activities on Monday, 12th January, 2026.

The Registrar noted that while the University will be closed during the period, essential services will continue to operate across various Colleges, Faculties, Administrative and Technical Departments, as may be directed by the Provosts, Deans, and Heads of Departments or Units. Heads of Departments and Units have been advised to ensure that staff on essential duties maintain uninterrupted services throughout the break.

On behalf of the University, the Registrar extended Christmas and New Year goodwill messages to members of the University Community, wishing them a Merry Christmas and a Prosperous New Year in advance.
