UNIABUJA update to students regarding the end of year break
The University of Abuja has released an official notice to all students regarding arrangements for the forthcoming Christmas and end-of-year break. The notice was issued by the Student Affairs Division through the Office of the Dean and outlines key measures to ensure the safety and security of students and their belongings during the vacation period.
According to the directive, all students are advised to take their personal belongings with them or make adequate arrangements to secure their items before vacating their hostels. The university management emphasized that it will not be held responsible for any unsecured belongings left behind in hostels that will be closed during the break.
Students who intend to remain on campus throughout the holiday period will be relocated to designated hostels. Male students from the main campus will be moved to the New Male Hostel, while female students from the main campus will be accommodated in the New Female Hostel. From the mini campus, male students will be relocated to the PTF Block, while female students will also be moved to the New Female Hostel.
The management further announced that all other hostels will be closed during the break to allow for essential repairs and renovations, as well as to reduce utility consumption.
The Christmas and end-of-year break will officially commence on Tuesday, December 17, 2025. During this period, all academic and administrative activities will be suspended until early January 2026.
Students are urged to comply strictly with these arrangements to avoid any inconvenience or loss.
The notice was signed by Dr. Noela Chinyelu Igwenman, Deputy Dean of Student Affairs.
