Al-Hikmah University announces 15th Convocation Ceremony

Al-Hikmah University, Ilorin, Kwara State, has announced activities lined up for its 15th Convocation Ceremony, scheduled to hold in January 2026 at the University’s Adeta and Atere campuses.

According to the official programme released by the institution, the convocation activities will commence on Thursday, 2nd January 2026, with a Vice-Chancellor’s Press Briefing slated for 10:00am at the Council Chambers, Adeta Campus, Ilorin. This will be followed by a Special Jumu’ah Service at 2:00pm at the University Mosque, Adeta Campus.

The highlight of the events, the Convocation Lecture, will take place on Tuesday, 7th January 2026, at the Moot Court, Atere Campus, Ilorin, by 10:00am. The lecture will be delivered by Distinguished Senator Barau I. Jibrin, CFR, Deputy Senate President of the National Assembly, Abuja. The lecture topic is titled “Managing Executive–Legislative Relations Towards Democratic Consolidation in Nigeria’s Fourth Republic.”

On the same day, the university will also hold the Conferment of Honorary Degrees and Award of First Degrees in Agriculture, Education, Humanities and Social Sciences, Management Sciences, Computing, Diplomas, and Special Prizes.

The Award of Degrees for graduates of Basic Medical Sciences, Nursing, Law, Natural and Applied Sciences, as well as the conferment of Higher Degrees and Special Prizes, will take place on Wednesday, 8th January 2026, at the Moot Court, Atere Campus, Ilorin, by 10:00am. Guests are expected to be seated by 9:30am.

The convocation activities will conclude with the Commissioning of Projects at 2:00pm.

The Vice-Chancellor, Professor Lateef Folorunsho Oladimeji, on behalf of the Governing Council, Senate, Management, Staff, and Students of Al-Hikmah University, has cordially invited the general public and stakeholders to grace the ceremony.

The convocation ceremony will also be streamed live on the university’s official social media platforms, including Facebook and YouTube.
