SAZU releases adjusted academic calendar for 2025/2026 session

The Office of the Registrar (Academic Affairs Division) of Sa’adu Zungur University, Bauchi State, has released the adjusted academic calendar for the 2025/2026 session.

The calendar outlines key activities and dates for both semesters, including periods for registration, lectures, examinations, and breaks.

First Semester Highlights:

· Resumption & Registration: Monday, 5th January – Sunday, 18th January 2026.

· Lectures: Run from Monday, 5th January to Friday, 27th March 2026 (12 weeks).

· Matriculation & Orientation: Wednesday, 28th January 2026.

· First Semester Examinations: Tuesday, 7th April – Saturday, 25th April 2026.

· Semester Break: Monday, 27th April – Saturday, 30th May 2026.

· Release of First Semester Results: Friday, 26th June 2026.

Second Semester Highlights:

· Resumption & Registration: Monday, 1st June – Saturday, 6th June 2026.

· Lectures: Commence Monday, 1st June and end Saturday, 22nd August 2026 (12 weeks).

· GST Examinations: Monday, 24th August – Friday, 28th August 2026.

· Second Semester Examinations: Monday, 31st August – Saturday, 12th September 2026.

· Semester Break: Monday, 14th September – Saturday, 5th December 2026.

· Release of Second Semester Results: Friday, 18th December 2026.

Notable Public Holidays:

· Ed-el-Fitr Celebration: Thursday, 19th – Friday, 20th March 2026.

· Good Friday/Easter Monday: Friday, 3rd – Monday, 6th April 2026.

· Ed-el-Kabir Celebration: Wednesday, 27th – Thursday, 28th May 2026.

· Democracy Day: Friday, 12th June 2026.

· Independence Day: Thursday, 1st October 2026.
