FCE Obudu announces Christmas and New Year break

The Management of the Federal College of Education, Obudu, has approved the temporary closure of the College in observance of the 2025 Christmas and 2026 New Year celebrations.

Accordingly, the College will be closed on Friday, December 19, 2025, at 4:00 p.m., and will reopen on Monday, January 5, 2026. This decision is to enable staff and students to travel and celebrate the festive season with their families.

All members of staff and students are hereby informed that administrative and academic activities will resume immediately on Monday, January 5, 2026.

Staff and students are advised to ensure that all electrical appliances in their offices are completely switched off, and that doors and windows are properly secured before departure. Security personnel are urged to remain vigilant across the two campuses throughout the period of closure. Staff assigned to essential duties are exempted from this break.

Members of the College community, irrespective of religious affiliation, are encouraged to use this period to pray fervently for peace and good health now and in the coming year.

On behalf of the 8th Governing Council and the College Management, the Registrar extends warm wishes of peace to all staff, students, their families, and loved ones during the 2025 Christmas season, as well as a prosperous and fulfilling 2026.

Once again, Management wishes all members of the College community a Merry Christmas and a Prosperous New Year in advance.
