FUBK announces hostel Maintenance and suspension of hostel accommodation for 2025/2026 Session

Federal University Birnin Kebbi (FUBK) has announced a temporary suspension of hostel accommodation for the 2025/2026 academic session due to a comprehensive maintenance and cleanup exercise scheduled for Hostels A and B on the Main Campus.

The announcement was made in a special bulletin signed by the Registrar, Abdulkadir Abubakar, informing both fresh and returning students about the university’s plan to improve the quality, safety, and overall condition of its hostel facilities.

According to the bulletin, the maintenance exercise aims to create a more conducive living environment for students. As a result, the hostels on the Main Campus will not be available for occupancy until all maintenance work is completed.

Students have been advised to make private accommodation arrangements for the upcoming academic session.

The university management expressed regret over any inconvenience caused by this decision and reassured students of its commitment to providing improved hostel facilities once the maintenance is completed.
