YABATECH SUG announces emergency meeting over exam challenges and students' welfare

The Students’ Union Government (SUG) of Yaba College of Technology has called for an emergency consultative meeting to address the rising concerns surrounding students’ academic and welfare issues on campus.

According to an internal memorandum released on Monday, December 8, 2025, all Faculty Presidents and Departmental Presidents are invited to participate in the crucial meeting. The SUG noted that the forum is necessary to deliberate on several complaints raised by students, particularly issues relating to examinations, the non-release of last semester’s results, general welfare, and overall student wellbeing.

The meeting aims to collectively review these challenges, gather inputs from stakeholders, and develop unified recommendations to present to the school management for immediate action.

The SUG emphasized that attendance is compulsory, as the outcomes of the meeting are expected to significantly contribute to resolving pressing concerns affecting the student community.
